Ive being paying for mine for about a year now, got a pay monthly o2 iphone3G which is currently costing £45 a month. Thats 1200mins and 500 texts. Cost so much as you get phone free but this was a 18month contract.

Ive looked on o2 website recently tho and prices have came down a little, but is still quite alot. But the iphone is worth it, it really is. So many things to do on it and F1 apps to :)

Cheers

Yeh that always works, remeber to wear a balacalva or some kind of face mask.

Also perhaps put a fake accent on i tend to use scottish as its more intimidating.

Pick your target wisely make sure your not going to steal Ipod touch or a iphone 2g.

Also avoid being poliet when mugging somone i always find it best to use the odd bit of profanity and a raised voice.

Oh and if you get caught, while in prison its imporant to not drop the soap.

Good Luck!

does it have to be an iphone? you can save loads and get a non apple phone

Well i have always wanted to battle joining the iPhone trend and i think i will carry on to do so....I currently have the E71 which my missus brought me @ xmas and just after the day she brought it Nokia jusat had in stock the N900 which i find brilliant so i might have to see what Nokia can do for me!!!

But the iTouch is okay, so i might just use that for my other iPhone needs.

I'd wait. In June the iPhone HD will appear. See how you feel after that.

I'll probably upgrade my 3GS to an HD on Vodafone if the leaked one doing the rounds is legit. Camera Flash :D

The iPhone has GPS capability right? The reason I ask is because I have seen the Blackberry advertised in one of the police publications I get and really like the idea of having another officer safety type of device/option?

Yes, the iPhone 3G & 3GS have GPS, and the upcoming new model - rumoured to be called iPhone HD - will as well. There is also GPS in the iPad with 3G

Was Apple's next iPhone, perhaps the most talked-about device on the planet, made by one of the most secretive companies on Earth, left in a bar in Redwood City, Calif.?

That's what technology Web site Gizmodo says in sharing photos and details of a device it says is the new iPhone, likely to be announced in June by Apple, which last week shared features of the iPhone's new operating system. 4.0. Since the first iPhone was released in June 2007, the month has become known as iPhone month for subsequent new models from Apple.

Gizmodo editor Jason Chen said on the site that the iPhone "was found lost in a bar in Redwood City, camouflaged to look like an iPhone 3GS," the current iPhone model. "We got it. We disassembled it. It's the real thing, and here are all the details ... While Apple may tinker with the final packaging and design of the final phone, it's clear that the features in this lost-and-found next-generation iPhone are drastically new and drastically different from what came before."

Apple, contacted for comment, has not yet responded. Redwood City is about 20 miles north of Apple's headquarters in Cupertino, Calif.

how is that a safty device?

It allows ones dept to track an officers position if they get seperated from their GPS equipped vehicle such as in a foot chase or some other incident that seperates them from their partner etc etc.

you'd need a mobile me account and the department to have your logon information to be able to use the ""find my iPhone" function. In which case you could get a smart arse at the station sending you messages "give back my iPhone" or even better shutting it down on you.

yeah the main use of the "find my iPhone" function is to find a stolen iPhone. :D
