I'd be nice to have a party proposing something new to vote for, I appreciate the debt leaves little choice regarding public finances but it'd be nice to have a party with a long term plan for how to develop the country - although crappy catch all politics leaves us with short terminism .

Why the f*** isn't electoral reform seriously on the agenda?

I can't see why people who are disillusioned with politics in this country vote Cameron? Isn't he whats wrong? A politician determined to get into power, who will jump on the nearest bandwagon and say what's popular to get and stay there.

I'm just going to vote on the calibre of the individual constituency candidates.

The main thing wrong with Cameron is his lips, he needs collagen injections-his lips are too thin and it makes him look shifty. Now Brown:-
- he taxed dividends for pensions and screwed the penson funds, put no viable alternatives in place
- he has a disclocated lower jaw
-he deregulated the banking system contributing to the credit crunch and our hugh national debt
-no effective immigration control-little island, too many people
- wont contribute to Silverstone
- I'll stop now, theres more!

I'm not defending brown, but I criticise Cameron and you criticise Brown - I think thats quite telling. We need to break the two party deadlock in the uk, I would like to see consenous politics having a shot.

The big drawback of reform, or 'consensus politics' as you call it, is that it creates a system where small, minority parties have a level of influence that is entirely disproportionate to their level of support. It would give one or several of the minority parties an effective veto on most of the Government's policies. Or, to put it another way, it would allow the Scottish and Welsh nationalists to block any policy they wanted, and extract additional benefits for the Scots and Welsh in exchange for their support. If you think the devolution settlement is unfair to the english now, try after a few years of a hung Parliament...

About the devolution settlement - I would like to see the regional mayor thing being tried again - kinda what we have in London. Leaving parliament to be sorting out issues that aren't really localised.

At anyrate either way we're going to have a trade off - a big party getting itself over represented and getting a majority seating, or small parties being over represented, chances are coalitions would work out to be labour + libdems, or conservatvies + lib dems.

Speaking of the lib dems - man I diddn't see that coming.
