A story in the German magazine Focus suggested the track was behind schedule, with circuit designer Hermann Tilke quoted as saying: "For the first time I fear that a circuit is not going to be ready in time." Since then organisers have denied the report, and after a flying visit, Ecclestone said he has no concerns whatsoever over the circuit's readiness.

"I'm absolutely sure [it will be ready], no doubt at all," he told Reuters, before adding: "I've spoken to Tilke and he denies saying it."

I reckon that the track surrounds will look pretty crap to start with but when they finish the city they're building there it could be very Monaco like
