Kubica admits he was glad to leave BMW but says he is happy at any team that can provide him with race-winning machinery.

"I want to be champion, no matter what car I drive," Kubica said. "When I was the championship leader in 2008, they helped Heidfeld to make up his gap rather than concentrate on me. It was amateurish. I knew I had to leave as soon as I could.

Yeah! Lucky for all of us that Heidfeld isn't driving F1 this year...!


That's a little harsh, I think Heidfeld is better than quite a number of drivers on the grid this year. When he hooks things up he is very hard to beat.

Agreed. I think he's been cursed by some sucky machinery...
