New to posting so hi everybody.

Do you think Red Bull's current qualifying advantage is due to the pull rod rear suspension setup they have on their car?
I think they are the only one's who use it at the moment.
I'm not an engineer or anything like that, just an F1 fan. Does the pull rod suspension handle load (fuel weight) differently (better) to a conventional setup?

This had crossed my mind but I couldn't think of any advantage in that way it could have, as far as I know it pulls the rocker instead of pushing it to compress the spring so I don't think there's much difference in what can be done beyond the rocker.

EDIT: Using pull rods allows for lower positioning of the suspension so if RBR do have some device or arrangement that other teams are able to copy then the other the other teams would have to have it positioned higher up raising the cars centre of gravity.

Yeah i remember reading about that a while ago. The lower centre of gravity certainly helped them in the wet last year but just wondered if it was a more constant platform for a tank of heavy fuel to sit on. Not explaining myself very well, hopefully you get the gist!

Other than the positioning of components and that the rods are in tension instead of compression I don't think there's any difference in capabilities.
