Barber Motorsports Park. I dunno about the facilities, but the track itself seems pretty interesting and kinda similar in style to an old European track.

From a gamers pov it looks to me like it could be a pretty good track to race on with many different series but I'm not so sure about real F1, even turn 5 where he says it could be a chance for overtaking looks like no chance for F1 imo.

Doesn't look like a track F1 could overtake around. Then again neither does Melbourne park, and the cars do pretty well around there.

I wouldn't mind seeing F1 give it go. But it still seems to need a pit building, and FIA kerbs.

Need a massive width

I wouldn't say just that, the circuit is made up of fairly short straights with quite fast but only single line corners and chicanes and don't really think widening the track would change that. I like the changes in elevation and camber and would be good for other types of racing but I don't think it's for F1.

looks too short and track may not be wide enough.

Wasn't Pacific GP and Aussie GP in 1994, 83 and 81 laps long respectively though? Pacific GP could be done in around 75 seconds, just imagine it nowdays and it you had overtaking on the left-back straight!

Well, I was concerned about the width, but I was also concerned about the length until I read that it's 2.3 miles, which is roughly the same length of Mid-Ohio and Mid-Ohio works great for Grand-Am, American Le Mans Series (ALMS), and IndyCar, so it might not be such a stretch for it to work for Formula One. I also just read that IndyCar has done testing at Barber Motorsports Park and has agreed to race there, and supposedly it was going to be the official test track for USF1.

So, perhaps with some facility upgrades, it might not be so unreasonable.

I was watching some of the Rolex Sports Car race yesterday held at Barber and I think it would make a great F1 venue, better than some races on the F1 schedule forsure.
