Watching ITV's first day of the BTCC racing last weekend, the commentators mentioned something about wet vs dry setups. This is probably a really dumb question: but on something like a Ginetta or a Porsche what would you change? Obviously the tyres and I'm guessing you can also drop tyre pressures slightly, depending on how wet you expect the race to be, to give you a larger contact patch and better heat distribution in the tyres - but what else and why?

Yeah as you mention tyre pressures, also ride height if possible, brake bias (more to the rear), gear ratios. You might not be able to do all that on the cars you said, depends on the race series rules.

Not sure about the ginettas but the porches might have adjustable areo so front splitter/rear wing could be tweaked to increase downforce

I would imagine they have full adjustable shocks as well


and perhaps the suspsension since your gonna get big changes to breaking
