but at the end of the day it depends what Ecclestone says will happen.

to be fair though, he said before the Malaysia GP that he had ordered the rain for 4:15 and it never came...perhaps he is loosing his influence over mother nature!

McLaren will have theirs for China

Yes, but the FiA just said they're banned.

Oh you're joking!!! So how come? They decided its Red Bull's year?

And the FIA just announced that they're changing their initials to RBIA.

AAAARRGGHHH!!! Not that agen!!!! just when we thought..........

A thought! What if McLaren put in their ride height thing deliberately to get it banned so that they can now challenge red bull's? And if they do that successfully, then red bull will have used an illegal device,so do they have to give their win up?

Like your thinking RC

It would be similar to just protest the Red Bull device outright.

The only way we can truly find out about Red Bull's system would be espionage... does anybody have Nigel Stepney's number?

No, they'd have way more clout if one was already declared illegal.

I should add, that's supposed to say "simpler". My apologies.

Not really, the FiA has already declared, to all 12 teams, in writing, that any system to adjust the ride height in parc ferme is illegal. Installing a system they themselves consider illegal, then having it declared illegal, then removing it, THEN protesting Red Bull would be a waste of effort. Just protest the Red Bull system.

So why dont the FIA just ban them all instead of just letting Red Bull have one?

You also have the option of not replying if said thread does not meet your personal criteria , just a thought .

Well we'll see. So far, the Red Bulls have passed scrutineering, but the FiA only issued the clarification after Malaysia. So we have to wait and see if they pass scrutineering in China, then see if their bums are scraping the floor in Qualifying.

Then, if they are, there's a strong chance that they're breaking the rules. That's when a protest is filed.

Factually inaccurate.

Who said F1 is boring !!

[racechick]

So if they are breaking the laws will they loose the win?
