Although I have my reservations over certain parties, the thing which pisses me off the most is people NOT voting.

And then they have the nerve to complain when they don't like things...

Exactly!

Bicycle is ok from April/May through to October/November, after that it's an ornament in the shed throughout winter

I've continued to cycle to work a couple of times a week throughout the winter... I draw the line at snow, though!

how can it EVER be that you can be better off on benifits than working? it should never happen!

It's been like it for a while though and I've always thought it was screwed up. I remember my boss offering a single mum a job about 10 years ago on slightly more than the minimum wage and she said although she wanted to work, she couldn't accept the job because she'd be worse off than she was on benefits. It's a really, really, really stupid situation.

Quite frankly, I've always thought that you should get benefits for yourself and whatever children you have at the time you start benefits. Have any more children and it's your own problem.

if this isnt sorted out soon.. all i can say is i dont wanna be here when that happens!

I'm making plans to try and move to Switzerland. My only concern is that the grass isn't always greener....it just sometimes looks that way from the other side of the fence!

The big question is who is going to sort it? I have my doubts about the Tories and TBH, I do wonder if they will get in next election or not. OK, most people are fed up of labour, but a lot of my friends are torn between Tory & UKIP. I don't know how representative that is, but if the Tory vote does get split substantially, Labour will get in again.

I'm appalled that anyone would even entertain the idea of letting Cameron and his Thatcherite BS take control of our great nation. What kind of madness is this? Progress is not found by going to the right. Economic well-being is never brought to us by the right. If anything, we should be going further left than Labour. All the Tories stand for is Privilege, wealth and petty, insular Nationalism.

That's not the United Kingdom. That's not the country I love. We are a modern society. We are inclusive. I'm tired of the culture of hate which has seized our country. This is not the way.

Please don't, I'd hate to be a Politician. They're too despised.

Hmm, the Soviet Union, North Korea, Cuba and a couple of dozen South American and African countries would suggest otherwise...

Pfft, State Socialism is a pathetic argument against the left wing. That's like saying we should ignore the right entirely (As in, do away with the markets) because of fascism. Welcome to Europe, we're socialists. Socialism is not the same as State Socialism (What is frequently mis-identified as "Communism" - which is also retarded).

Probably one of the most viable systems (if done right) is the social market economy, similar to the German system or the Scandinavian model(s). There are flaws in both with excesses and all, but as I said 'if done right', it could work the best for most everybody involved.

The Scandinavian countries can do socialism, France can, but GB cant. We're crap at it! Gordan Brown is incompetant!

Brown is no socialist. But he's a lot closer to it than David "Don't Call Me Dave" Cameron and Chancer-not-Chancellor Osborne

I'd be nice to have a party proposing something new to vote for, I appreciate the debt leaves little choice regarding public finances but it'd be nice to have a party with a long term plan for how to develop the country - although crappy catch all politics leaves us with short terminism .

Why the f*** isn't electoral reform seriously on the agenda?

I can't see why people who are disillusioned with politics in this country vote Cameron? Isn't he whats wrong? A politician determined to get into power, who will jump on the nearest bandwagon and say what's popular to get and stay there.

I'm just going to vote on the calibre of the individual constituency candidates.

The main thing wrong with Cameron is his lips, he needs collagen injections-his lips are too thin and it makes him look shifty. Now Brown:-
- he taxed dividends for pensions and screwed the penson funds, put no viable alternatives in place
- he has a disclocated lower jaw
-he deregulated the banking system contributing to the credit crunch and our hugh national debt
-no effective immigration control-little island, too many people
- wont contribute to Silverstone :yikes:
- I'll stop now, theres more!
