If it happened... Lewis champion by default... ?? WOW! What a way to end this year?

But i'd be more concerned for the poor bugger who would have to tell a very drunk Kimi tonight, that he wasn't the champion!

That's what I'm trying to say all this time, he IS a rookie, and if you give all that confidence into a rookie (not giving what he really needs, that is develope himself to take experience), that's what you collected, and all this was caused by only one person, Ron Dennis, who has to be fired for his incompetence.

Well I did say a few times that, beside obvious talent, LH needs environment that will let him DEVELOP into real championship material, and that should be well controlled environment that builds character and brings experience - definitely not what he was served with this season. So yes, I do agree RD made some huge mistakes this season. Maybe it is time for him to go retire - or go sabbatical.

Raikkonen deserved this, he came close to winning the Championship on numerous occasions.

Although I am please he won rather than Alonso, he did not deserve this title at all

Massa deliberatly blocked and coraled Hamilton at the start which allowed Kimi past. Without this team work - Massa's action was an outside influence decinding what transpired after

but as I say, though not deserving, better him than mr blackmail

FM just gave LH some of his own medicine - all season long LH crossed in front of other drivers at the start. So, nothing to whine about here. Also, if LH was smart enough or experienced enough I should say (and McLaren and his dad had done a better job in preparing him for this race) he would have let it go and settle as 4th or whatever during the first lap and should have driven it home. But he didn't and that's why KR deserves this title very much so - most wins in the season, so makes sense.

No mate, Hamilton preserved his position by blocking as invented by the famous FERRARI driver Schumacher - they dont call it the Schumacher chop for nothing

Right or wrong Schu did it for years

But no what Massa did was not to block to preserve his position, rather he was part of a corralling maneuver. This was a planned action by TWO drivers and nothing like what Hamilton did at all.

And Schumacher did it because Senna did it. Bla bla bla...

DD brings up a very good point, LH's driving did come into question on more then one occasion this season and he received a taste of his own medicine.

YAY for KIMI! Well deserved!
So if Hamilton gets the title by default, that's a fitting end to the most contrived season yet, with Ferrari's Constructor crown also by default. Really disappointing, but let's sweep it all under the rug and look ahead to 2008 and hope it's clean!

Great job from Kimi and Ferrari. Like I said before, it is the big bosses' job to keep the drivers happy and in harmony, because in the end this sort of picture-perfect situations do not happen unless the whole team is in harmony.

Also, as i said before, Massa had the possibility to win. He has been very strong in 'his' circuits, and today all he needed to prove was that he was mature enough to enjoy a 2nd place. He was perfect, no mistakes and a great race he can be proud of. Kimi was beyond human. When Kimi is consistent, he is unbeatable.

Kimi's P3 in Fuji (also.. remember Suzuka 06?). That was the drive of a champion.

Alonso showed why he was 2-time champ, and he was duly and strongly competing for 3. Had he been surrounded with more harmony...

Hamilton made the same mistake he made in China: failing to understand the bigger picture. He should have learned from Alonso's 2 WDCs. Not only he failed to see this in China and Brazil, but Hungary and Monaco also showcased this weakness. Again, he made off track excursions like in many of his late races. He was even lucky (again!) that the newly paved green run of area was there... in 06 it could have been an embarrasing 1 lap race for him. I feel sorry for him, but that's racing. He's young and proved that with the right car he can do great things.

Congratulation Kimi!
Let’s hope that next year will be between Kimi and Felipe with BMW & McLaren pushing them.
As to LH; hmm... media boy and a fast driver but not a champion as yet.

Well it's really hard to say. Even if LH kept his 2nd from Kimi there, no way to tell if Kimi would not take him after - like FA did. And also no way telling what else might have emerged in different starting scenario. Maybe LH and Kimi would crash together leaving FA champ. Or maybe LH and FA would crash? Possibilities are endless.

Yeah, if LH kept his 2nd and hasn't got that little picnic in first lap and hasn't got gearbox/hydraulics/whatever problem... or if he finished China within good points... or.

But then again, if FA didn't do that dumbass pitstop act in Hungary (or if LH didn't provoke him to do so) and lost 10 positions, and hasn't crashed in Japan... and if Kimi had less reliability issues during the season... there are billion IFS but they don't mater, only thing that does is what happened, and that is that Ferrari had better car in Brazil, and their drivers worked like a real team - an extra lesson for McLaren - and both their drivers had perfect race with no mistakes. And they are Champions.

In did lots of IFS but we have excellent CHAMPION!

Ferrari teamwork is a true lesson for McLaren.

We will se how LH will get on with a new team member next year and thus we will be able to say more about FA’s problems; that will be good test for RD and LH.

And lastly; I HOPE that FIA will stand more for AUTHORITY and less for FUSS.
