McLaren's biggest problem is the lack of space they'll have in their pit garages next year.

I reckon Renault will produce a much more competitive car next year, and be challenging for regular podiums if not wins. I mean, they can't have totally forgotten how to win, and they've had plenty time to develop their car for next year.

Yeah if Alonso is back Renault will be back, they have the pedigree as a engine manufacturer, and surely now as a team.
But Ferrari are going to just get better and better, and im not a Ferrari fan at all, so that is scary!
The BMW's will be fliers to though! Red Bull and Williams also
We're in for one heck of a year!

if BMW, RBR & Williams do well, well what a season we will have...a battle for 1st/2nd & maybe 3rd & then for 4th & 5th in WCC, wow!

It's safe to assume that Ferrari, and therefore Raikkonen and Massa, will be the team to beat next season.

But, who will be up there challenging?

Besides BMW, we currently have no idea who will be driving for who next year, and whether or not McLaren and Renault will produce competitive cars, and how fast BMW will actually be.

Could Williams and/or Red Bull make a big step up and challenge for podiums?

Will Toyota continue to drive in reverse gear, and move even further backwards on the grid?

Will Toro Rosso and Super Aguri continue to improve?

Will Prodrive make it to the grid?

Will Spyker really be renamed Force One India?

and

What the hell sort of a car will Honda produce next year?

I'm not sure about Ferrari's dominance next year. They will be strong for sure, but since they haven't been absolutely dominant this season (some of their results did come out of misfortune of the others) I don't think they'll have much better starting point (in terms of developing next season's car) than the others. If nothing else, they do have to improve reliability...

McLaren, cat in the bag. They can bounce back or they can sink. I don't really believe whole team is supporting LH, there has to be FA side as well, albeit much smaller... but enough to create rift within the team. Plus, many fresh thing might emerge from their quarters now that season is finished that might actually spread the rift... or they really might leave everything behind and focus on next season, building on this season's car and being as competitive in 2008.

I don't see Williams growing much - unfortunately - but I would expect AN's influence in designing Red Bull's car to start showing... more. Will it be enough for podium, time will tell; but I'm sure they will grow in years to come.

BMW should be stronger. Toyota - I don't expect anything from them, but that is based on their current and previous performance. They have enough money to buy the best staff available (or even to make unavailable staff available) and they have Japanese's determination to succeed... so they might start improving at last.

Honda will be better. They can't do worst.

Back-griders... will stay there.

Renault? They might come back, in fact I hope they will. Having Ferrari, McLaren (hopefully), Renault and BMW capable of winning races, with Red Bull, Williams, Honda, hopefully Toyota capable of snatching podium once in a while - still not winning but at least capable of causing troubles for winning teams - would make a good season.

Re. Ferrari: don't forget that they had to fight not only McLaren, but Stepney as well. McLaren had an advantage that can't be underestimated, so the true strengths of Ferrari and McLaren will be showing next season (provided no more data transfer happens).

One never knows what top team if any will fall away over the winter. It happened to Honda last winter, and to Ferrari before 2005, and to McLaren gradually after Senna's last title, and then monumentally once he was gone. I expect Ferrari to become dominant, because Mclaren, even if it can develop an even better car than this year, will have team dynamics problems. BMW just may improve, even become a top runner, if this happens. Honda could suddenly get its form back though, as could Toyota and/or Renault. This would displace someone. Sorry to say the era of the garagistes is gone forever. I feel bad for Sir Frank.

how is no Traction Control gonna help

as i have no clue have TC does

It stops the drivers from giving the rear wheels too much power, causing them to spin.

So it's going to make driving harder for everyone, and we'll see more mistakes.

ooh...i remember spinnin on a F1 game...without traction control...looks like nice season will be a SPIN-OFF season then of this season

tough to say what will happen next year.
Ferrari and McLaren will be strong again.
BMW and Red Bull will continue to improve and maybe steal a few more podiums.
Toyota and Honda have nowhere to go but up.........yeah right.
Super Best Freinds will be on par with Williams (yeah, its a bold statement) at the start, but will improve through the year.
Just my opinion though.......
