I don't think anyone would doubt Vettel's speed but I would doubt his race craft.

I think given the right set of tools he could be very quick and useful but he just don't seem to be able to grip the wow factor yet. I think he will in time, but he needs to be more agressive.

I like Vettel, and as a character he seems ok enough. but i do think that he needs to prove himself as an "all round" driver. Look at Hamilton, i believe that he learnt more as a driver in 2009 when he had to work his way up from the back. its one thing winning a race from the first couple of rows of the grid, but in the last year, Hamilton has shown he can be an all round driver, not least today. Vettel needs a few of them to push the doubts out of peoples minds.
i have championed Vettel and continue to do so, but there is room for improvement.
Also, as an aside, i dont much like the way he does the little Scuey jump on the podium. i would like him to loose that!

His face his funny lol. But i agree, you have hit the nail on the head and that has proven this year due to his amazing overtakes and just making up so much. Every driver has had to learn from that. Like Alonso who made up so many places in OZ. If certain drivers didn't have t5hat then they would race for Lotus Not saying any names

I'm looking at Hamilton's F1 record and I can't find a race where Lewis has won from off the front two rows. The same is the case for Vettel. So I can only assume you mean races where he has made big gains from the back to get a decent result, in which case there are a few. You not paying attention to them doesn't make them any less true.

Compare this to 'from-the-back' drives from Hamilton.

Yes I am convinced but dont worry your eyes are safe.
I have no idea if those statistics are correct Denthul and dont have the time or inclination to look them up. If you say so. It means nothing anyway to quote statistics like that because it doesnt state why the driver was at the back(poor car/driver error/qulifying irregularity/penalty)) or how he made up the places (by overtaking cars, by overtking cars in a slower car, by overtaking cars in a faster car, by other cars dropping out) I still havent seen Vettel making storming drives from the back in a car that is off the pace, Ive seen Lewis do it plenty.

Twice, you mean? In 2009. In 2008 and 2010, his car wasn't off the pace, but he qualified badly due to team decisions. Compare this to Vettel, where all but one of his drives from the back were in a car that wasn't a front-runner. Once again, you not seeing them doesn't mean that they don't happen. This isn't necessarily your fault - watching the races in Britain, you're bound to see more of the British drivers (Hamilton and Button) than drivers from other countries.

For example if you watch it in the USA its the same as if you watched it in the UK or spain just the comentary is diffrent.

The fact is Vettle just don't do anything that intresting to warrent coverage.

I bet Mclaren sponsors are loving lewis starting from the back because its just him all race since he does stuff that warrents coverage.

The race is shown at the discretion of the programme director in the country where the GP is held not at the discretion of the British TV programmers.

Vettel had the car of the field last year and most definately this year. Lasy year Lewis's was way off pace and this year its not on the red bull's pace by quite some.
