I don't know if McLaren really treats one or the other as their number one, but as far as I'm concerned Hamilton is still their top driver, and I think that over the course of the season he'll prove that. Sure, Button will probably do just fine, but I think that, overall, Hamilton will still outshine him over the course of the year.

We sure could do with one that wasn't about some imagined civil war between them. This one...Kinda qualifies, in that a neutral opinion seems to make more sense when discussing which driver McLaren favours (The answer being, again, neither).

It's kinda irrelevant at the moment, but further on in the season it'll simply be whoever is leading in the WDC, the same as most modern F1 teams. IMO this whole '1st driver' thing is becoming a thing of the past....

Rising number one of Formula 1, Juan - Juan, one wonders should Juan only win one Formula 1 one year, would Juan have won that one in round one, Juan??

My choice would be obvious...the one who's been there longer, and the one who performed better in Melbourne.

Though of course they both deserve equal material to battle each other. I'm sure the management know who'll stick it out till the very end though, and if they could forget the guy who did stick it out in the end and got them a Championship after a massive decade in the sport, they must be quite thick in the head. :thumbdown:

i think McLaren don't work like this, i think as for instance with Heikki or Lewis? Com'On it's more than obvious Lewis will get the special treatment. With JB & Hammy, there is no point, they are both trying for 1st place so let them figure it out on the track. All McLaren will care is if they get the WCC. Simple as, I think with the Alonso situation it was very hard for the 2 of them. Alonso underestimated Lewis and Lewis needed as much help as possible and Alonso wanted all the attention. A tough call for Macca but they really have the dream team now :thumbup:
