Read and comprehend. Lewis only said he understands WHY the team decided to pit him. Doesn't mean it was right in the end. Obviously it was the wrong decision.

No one's saying the decision to pit Lewis was right in the end, we're (or at least I am) arguing that moaning about it mid-race was wrong.
