From what I remember of the radio conversation he was told he would catch the ferrari's before the end of the race to which he replied "What theyre not pitting? Why did I pit then". Hardly suprising he was a little bemused by the decision since it was wrong and cost McLaren a one/two. But poo happens. A shame though after he drove such a fantastic race.

Hello Anna. Good to have you back. I missed you. No as i understand it he complained about the tires before he pitted. so why ask crazy Q afterwards?

Nice to be missed and nice to be back-though its only briefly:D He didnt complain about the tyres, they were fine.

Ok thats what i was thinking. Lewis should then have stayed out if he thought his tires was ok. why pit if there no problem then ?

I guess because he knew how much of the race was left and thought the team had better information on how the tyres would hold up for those laps than he did.

The truth Anna. The team dont believe he could have finished the race on one set. of that I have no doubt.

Well we'll never know now will we cos he didnt get the chance. He may have ended up squirmimg about a bit like the Ferari's but I reckon he'd have held it together enough for 2nd .....so do the team in retrospect)

Mclaren screwed Hamilton over.

The Common sense decision was to stay out on track. Simple.

I would have slapped that Whitmarsh across his face with a two by four for making a decision like that.

What a crock of sh1t you just posted!

Mclaren didnt screw Hamilton over they played it safe and made sure at least one of there drivers was going to finish top, what would have happened if Lewis and Jenson had both stayed out and both of there tires ended up going off and somebody else had jumped into pole when they were pitting (webber probably) , people like you and some other nuggets on here would have been screaming why didnt they pit, everybody forget what happened the last time a Mclaren stayed out too long on the same set of tires try a you tube search for china 2007!

Rather than put all of there eggs into one basket Mclaren called it right by making sure one of them (it didnt matter which) came home, fate delt Hamilton a blow today nothing or nobody else was too blame

Some people just can't bear the fantastic race that Lewis drove. Seriously, he was the best guy out there and got hacked TWICE by mark webber, who from now on I despise and once from the team. I was so gutted after the race, unbelieveble. But if you want to blame this on lewis and say he's just whining, go ahead but you know you're wrong

Looking at the shunt from the ariel view, it looks to me as if Mark Webber deliberately rammed Lewis,

perhaps the stewards should be looking at it too?

Are you only out for the weekend on day release or some kind of weekend pass or something?, I'm thinking the men in white jackets will be comming for you some time quite soon, dont worry son it wont be long till your licking those windows on the special bus again
