I'm stoked JB won but I'm annoyed McLaren pitted Lewis but regardless best race I've been too!

I dont think he would have made it to the end of the race since he seems not to have a clue about looking after his tires. He was crying that they were graining by the time he caught up with Alonso so I think his team made the right call. Buttonit seems can take initiative and planned his own race as the conditions changed. Great decision and race from him. Jensonb will be glad

Ferrari on the other hand will nodoubt turns the tables next week.

Jenson didn't make the call to come in for slicks though he said so in the post race interviews. For gods sake get off Lewis' back he drove amazing today some awesome passes he knows how to drive you have no place to critisize him you wouldn't beable to do one lap!
Lewis burned out his second set of Tyres trying to pass the Ferraris, if he stayed out behind kubica and passed him he could have managed them like JB did.

I agree,it was Jenson who had just been passed by his team mate,he had to do something so he took a gamble and it paid off, people are forgetting that. Button won't be able to gamble like that every time Lewis passes him.

For the Button fans who think that this is the start of button owning Lewis,i would seriously think again. :)

Who says the season is boring, just add some water to the track and watch the excitement grow!

Exactly.
The race organizers should look into creating an artificial rain or just at least just pour some water to make the damn track wet at the start of every race in future :D:D

This is the kind of surprise element that we need, which had been unfortunately removed from the race ever since the refueling ban.

You sure about that? I heard him say the opposite.

MW said he made the call as far as I heard, if anything the rest of the team thought he was a bit nuts. Good call in the end though.

Jenson made the call:

Sorry my post was misleading. I meant that MW said 'Jenson' made the call. I think everyone interviewed has given Jenson the credit. :)

when you get the chance later to watch the race again you will notice that he surpised the pitcrew when he came in. they weren't expecting him.

Sorry, I think it was mine that was misleading. I knew what you were saying I just meant to confirm it.

I think that Alonso played a perfect race if i am going to be honest and to say how far down he got hit, and he climbed so high? i think Team orders should have been in place and then he could of captured a nice podium, but to say how well he actually did. It should prove to critics that the Ferrari is the number one car for reliabillity and speed is nothing but perfect. I think they are the main title contenders and if that sp[in did not occur, i can't imagine that it would of been nothing but a win for the great spaniard and the Marinello squad. JB? prety amazing, he held himself very well and was well composed, it was a exciting race and i think this should shut critics up for a while :hehe:

McLaren are 2nd to 3rd in the table of cars. I can't explain enough how right i was that that RBR is not the main competitor, people can argue but my predictions are too right to even argue. The formulas in which they are running qare not good enough, rain or dry..... As Gaz said he is a 1 lap man. Put Vettel in a Ferrari and he can be great!!!

Alonso still for the win chaps....

Well done JB and well done Hammy, a good come back non the less.

Great call by Jenson, clever stuff, won him the race.

Ah Alonso showed he's got the skills, don't know what happened at the start but damn he did a good job. Picking up points on something of a freak race (ie unpredictable).

Vettle is seriously unlucky, rebull have to sort these issues out.

Webber, hmm.

Solid from Kubcia - he looks really talented.

Massa - held it together, in the end preformed better than I thought.

Nice job for Luzzie,
Chandock - great stuff as well, getting in the finish.

Lewis, maybe shouldn't be suggesting Webber retires eh? That might keep him of your back :hehe: . And moaning at the team was seriously childish

What a great race!

In the end, strenghts and weaknesses of everyone were displayed. Superb job by Kubica, he was hunting for pts in Bahrain as well but was unlucky, this time he was simply fantastic. He did a much better job than Massa and the others defending from the charging cars faster than his...

Massa never really does well in this track, but he limped to a podium. Well done, but dont think he deserved the podium. Alonso was much faster and everyone was able to pass Massa pretty much on demand... made lots of mistakes as well...... ah well. A podium is good :) But Alonso was great. That was a great climb, not a good as Lewis (because Lewis had to pass the fronters and made some fantastic moves) but in the end Alonso SCHOOLED Lewis, so that makes it up :D

Lewis was great... his driving. The rest: as ussual.
Why Jenson got a 1-stop and not you? well... watch the video, you'll see. But its easier to blame the team.

Great race!

Or reverse the grid after the qualifying. That might see something epic and even MORE over-taking!

What a race!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And a superb result for Jenson :D This will mean so much to him, as he walked into the lions den and everyone said he was crazy. But now after only 2 races he has proved that he can compete at the highest level even in a new team and a new car (with out the dd advantage). Hopefully this confidence gained will put him on the right track for the rest of the season

Go Jens, Go Mclaren. And bad luck to Lewis.

I really enjoyed this race, so much overtaking, and some really heart in the mouth stuff from Lewis. Going round the outside of forgotten who now on that fast bend. So exciting to watch.
Didnt want the race to end truth be told.

I know the feeling, not to take anything away from Lewis, but I would have loved to have seen some of the early over taking moves from others further down the pack. However, I realise that in the melee of the first few laps that it was hard for the camera crew/directors to keep up.

Roll on Malaysia where I read that the long range forecasts pointed to yet more rain :S
