It seems us US fans are lucky in the sense that we do not have to listen to Eddies ramblings :hehe: .

Which one? Eddie Jordan or Eddie Irvine like I just mentioned? :hehe:

Both :D .

That's really going to impress Bernie that is.

"Hi, I'm the second most successful current F1 driver and if you don't love me enough you can P**S OFF because it's my ball, my garden and my daddy says you have to be nice to me!"

Yep, that about sums up Alonso.

He would do well to remember what generates his obscene income. The fans. If they do as he suggests and watch something else, he will not be driving round for millions, but a fraction of that.

That article only cements my dislike for him :irked: .

Well it was the first race and people jumped that it was going be :bs:
but it's like the beginning round being @ Monaco....Oz will be better and will have allot of action, even back in 2003 it was a action packed race and Schumi dominated that season!!!!

In his defence Tex, I dont see in that report that he tells fans to switch off. thats a sensasionalist heading to his interview. Whilst I also thought it was boring like hell we should wait n see what the next few races brings. If fans start staying away from races then bernie will get the message quite clearly. Hopefully when that happens he dont come up with some stupid idea of putting shortcuts on the tracks or allowing cars to use nitro for 10 secs a lap as apposed to actually consider changing some rules to spice up races like allowing engine development to eternity.

Exactly. It's just obvious that he's telling the fans to put up & shut up. It's one race, there just thinking that it was unfair and that they can't move. But that should show that you have to be fast on Qually!! Now OZ will prove a few things, i bet if JB wins it, no more crying from him? Same with Schumi and everyone else. Alonso would of done it too, this weekend will be a shake up and it will keep the drivers happy, and it will be un predictable. People are very afraid that Ferrari will dominate like no tomorrow? But even if they came 2nd & 3rd they would be number 1....Just Alonso would be 2nd and so forth. So let's wait, i can see were Alonso is coming from, it will also split the fans from the crap ones. I'm still watching for the fact F1 has always been the same and i love it. So the real fans that just came because of JB need to get rid and keep the real fans

I think Alonso's a bit tee'd off because his first win for Ferrari has been overshadowed by the negative reaction to the procession we saw.

Michael,Lewis,Jenson,Kimi,Mika etc etc would not have said such a derogatory comment to the F1 fans. :banghead:

An interview that provoked a meaningful response, thank goodness for that. Makes a pleasant change from the predictable jibberish on the BBC each week.

:yes::thumbup:

What the hell does Button have to do with this? He advised caution regarding making any knee-jerk changes to the rules.

My Point is, Last season F1 was so well known, all the guys who never watched it. Started watching it, due to JB and his winning ways. Which are fake fans....Agree.....So the real fans stay because it's 'your/our' sport. And if people don't like it, 'F' off, end off. People like JB are complaining after 1 race, in my local news paper 3 out of 5 days complaining about F1? WOW, last season i herd no complaints. Now? 1 race down you complain then say don't walk away from F1, maybe he needs to wait for atleast 5 races then judge it, JUST LIKE ALONSO SAID!!!! Now Alonso is saying if you don't like it? Walk away, Which is a fair comment. You don't have to watch?

Actually, viewing figures internationally for 2009 were down on 2008. The UK bucked that trend, but that probably has a lot more to do with he move to the BBC and Lewis's championship the year before than it does to do with Button - who according to the recent FOTA poll accounts for a much smaller margin of the fans compared to Lewis or Alonso for example.

As for people complaining after 1 race this year and not last year...Last year's race 1 was pretty exciting. Bahrain 2010 was...Not.

Agreed, i do think though people are jumping the gun. I think if Alonso had lost he would be on the same boat, but i think that is the same for every driver. Even if you or me was a driver we would be saying the same because last year every one who was some one was fighting, now there are too many problems with cars and so fourth. I am hoping for a wet Oz, Then i just want the critics to pipe down. Would be nice to get a McLaren win really, to add a little spice, maybe Alonso get a 2nd place. Anything less than a podium i will kick my wall.... :banghead:

I've mellowed a bit about how bad stuff is etc, I'm just hoping that the teams were just being over cautious and saving their tires, all using the same stragety etc.

It does a new spice, but the one FIA have fount is a bad one.... :banghead:
