Lewis Hamilton has apologised after his Mercedes road car was impounded by Melbourne police on Thursday evening.

it doesn't say he's been arrested though, don't know what the procedure is. I guess it doesn't warrant keeping him locked up for Saturday.

"The vehicle, a 2010 Mercedes, was impounded for 48 hours and the driver returned to his hotel."

In 2007, Hamilton's car was impounded in France after he was caught speeding by police.

This isn't big news really, this comes under the "Hoon" law! You can't be arrested, but the police can impound your car for 48 hours if you're caught doing burnouts or drag racing etc.

LOL the second time he has been stopped by police. He was also stopped in France and actually banned for a few months I think. I really don't care as long as he can race.
