After reading several predictions in other topics I thought it would be suitable to create a separate "predictions topic" and discuss them here.

Please give your predictions and opinions for Melbourne 2010

Here are mine:

P1. Vettel
P2. Hamilton
P3. Alonso

Best new team: Lotus
High expectations: Renault (Kubica)

I really hope it will be between Alonso and Lewis. Can't underestimate Vettel and Webber.

I wonder if people are overestimating Red Bull's car... Vettel might have been quick with it but Webber was out of the frame all weekend.

Other drivers don't stop raving about it how far ahead they are though.

Completely agree and that is my point exactly. It is not solid proof like the brawn last year.

Webber had a number of technical problems in practice on Friday and therefore had limited running.
The in qualifying he made a mistake.

Again that isn't true. Although he may have been off the pace, there are reasons as to why. Plus he was stuck behind slower cars for the entire race.

If he was that much quicker he would have had passing opportunities, there was plenty going on in the lower half of the grid. Like everybody at the front he stayed in line and looked after his tyres, he didn't appear to have the speed to do otherwise.
