Beer bottles thrown onto the track during a Grand Prix certainly didn't help our image. I wasn't at that one, but I would have ended up in jail after the first guy near me threw a beer bottle over the fence. I still can't believe that there were not enough real racing fans at the event to stop those who chose to throw those bottles. Schumacher said something to the press about driving around glass on the track and smelling beer the entire way around. What driver would want to deal with those kinds of fans? To risk a drivers life because the FIA and a tire manufacturer screwed up? I imagine it isn't just Psycho Bernie who is resisting a return to the USA, but the teams and drivers as well. It was a disgraceful and embarrassing showing by my countrymen.....and in order to not feel that shame again, I hope they do not return.

I sincerely doubt the drivers bear a grudge against US fans in general over that unique day.

Long Beach would be my track of choice since it's practically in my backyard (well a backyard that's 20 minutes away haha) but I really don't think it's up to F1 standards. I think the best choice would be Indy or Las Vegas.
