Wait for Oz

Indeed, I can't see why everyone is making such a big deal of it... we've only seen 1 race so far. How can you judge on that? I don't even think the race was that boring.. we have seen quite some overtakings although it weren't always the cars in front.

Don't get me wrong, I also think it wasn't the greatest race ever, but it certainly wasnt the worst either. We should wait untill we've had 3 or 4 races.. Then I think we can draw (better) conclusions...

You sound like Bernie:
While many inside the sport, as well as fans, have called for change, Bernie Ecclestone wants to wait three more races before deciding whether to make any changes.
"I'm not happy, far from it," said Ecclestone. "It was the kind of race we have had in the past because of the way the cars are designed.

:hehe:

At the very least the fia could require the circuits to change so that they favour lower downforce - those tracks produce much better racing.

Perfect solution would be to remove all the chicanes and the slow turns which are preceded by slow track sections. What we need are slow turns immediately after high-speed sections & straights.

Would it be possible to run all the tracks in reverse on odd years? I've been looking at the tracks, and some would be quite a challenge if ran in reverse, and all would be completely different. Only the pit-stops would have to be updated.

Anyhow, I don't want to see any more rules or changes, if anything, just remove a rule here and a rule there, and that will do it. Can't they get that through their head? You can't make things better by making it more and more constricted, drivers and teams get used to it, and there is parity in the end. If there are no restrictions on certain things, there is a far bigger chance of differences between teams and drivers.

Most circuits have the barriers, walls, run offs, graveltraps and cicuit access among other things set up for safety for racing in one direction, it's not just a case of starting the cars off facing the opposite direction on the grid.

Back OT, well sort of, wasn't the re-fuelling ban more of a solution to the pit-closed/safety car problem rather than to enhance the spectacle of F1?

EDIT:sorry, bit of a wierd double negative thing there.

Nah, it was more a solution to the "cars catching on fire" problem.
