i am unsure of some of the qualifying regs for 2010. are the cars running as fast as possible, IE with least fuel possible, or on full race fuel? and if they are running light, does this only apply to Q1 and Q2? PLEASE HELP AS I AM IN A STATE OF FRENZY!!!! :banghead::confused::confused::censored::yikes::(:crying::confused::rofl:

:rofl::rofl: They're going fast with low fuel. They fill up after quali for the whole race but the Q3 contestants have to start the race on the same tyres they used in Q3. The rest can choose.

The Grand Prix is now a one hour session on Sat. afternoon/night

Well, there's a couple of minutes on Sunday too. :hehe:

I much prefer the old 1 hour, 12 laps system.

Pretty good system. I think last year's was the best system though. There are plusses to most of them. Although the 1-lap Each system I think was pretty dull.

And a joke when it looked like rain for the second runs at Silverstone and it became a competition to see who could go slowest, with Schumacher starting things off by spinning just before crossing the finish line.

I'm not accusing Schumi of anything here btw, everyone was at it and that was just to show how much of a farce that quali format was.

Yeah, Sato I remember slowed to a crawl just before the line because BAR were hedging their bets - Button was one of only a few drivers to do a proper lap.

That One Lap system was never worse than:

When they had the sessions back to back and
When Q2 was on a Sunday

The best implementation was Friday Quali/Saturday Quali. Purely because it meant we got to see more action.
