I think the ugly and ridiculous new sector 2 has something to do with such a large spread. Some teams will also have probably compromised their cars to perform better in the race tomorrow. I expect the Saubers of Kobayashi and Peter Pink Woolen to go "ON A CHARGE!!!!" when the front runners start to kill their tyres.
I agree, sector 2 is nothing but bull-crap. Everyone have their car jumping in turn 6 and it's just pointless...

agreed. The sector would have been fine, even good if it would have been smooth. I can imagine it sweeping very well, but the construction was straight-up Horrible!

Bahrain should be ashamed, and do something to smooth it out for next season..

funny though . The ferrari and redbull cars appear to manage those turns a lot better but at least ivey can blame that stretch of the track for mclarens poor performance.

no doubt they were faster than others through that sector, but the in-car camera of Vettel showed a smooth comfortable ride until you get to the new section.. And then it was like going off-roading, his head jumping and bumping against the safety collar. And then you could actually tell when he left the new section and got back on to the old smooth section. Kimi would have Waxed everyone today

Just looking through the times. Lewis and Massa were the only two drivers to actually improve their Q3 time over their Q2 times. Impressive from both sides.

The grip level deffinetly dropped during Q3 today with the rising tempertures. So whilst everyone struggled to find grip, fanastic to see two drivers still able to overcome the conditions and pull out something special. Hamilton and Massa stars of quali today

They showed us the replay and EVERY SINGLE car bumped massively through these corners, ferrari and redbull didn't just jump so significantly

The only real surprise I had was Vettel getting pole and the rest was kinda expected but I'm not diappointed by any of the top 10 placings.
