Hi everyone,

My name is Szymon, I’m second year student in Goldsmiths, London University and devoted F1 fan. As the new season is about to begin I was introduced to exiting project for the F1 fans. That is why I would like to ask for your opinion…

1. What is that you like the most about F1 GP?

2. How would you imagine contribution in F1 racing from spectator’s perspective in next 20 – 40 years time?

3. Do you prefer to watch F1 races by yourself or with your friends?

4. If there was an application or web system that would help you to participate in F1 world, what would that be?

Thanks for all replies; I will share with you with the outcome of the project.

In my case it'd be quicker to list what i don't like... but to provide a helpful answer, i love the cars - the sights, sounds and technology... and even more importantly, the very real potential for a memorable and legendary race every time the lights go out!

2. How would you imagine contribution in F1 racing from spectator’s perspective in next 20 – 40 years time?
Judging from how it appeared to be 20 years ago, pretty similar... although by the same token i imagine some of the fan overreaction to their certain favoured drivers to be even more acute in 20 years!

3. Do you prefer to watch F1 races by yourself or with your friends?
Friends with a similar knowledge/appreciation is preferable, otherwise i'm not really bothered!

4. If there was an application or web system that would help you to participate in F1 world, what would that be?
Erm... online ability to choose the viewing stream or something? (ie, the ability to be your own director). Never really been something i've considered too much to be honest.

Good luck with the project! :)

I like all the technologies behind it, and especially race strategies. But we don't know how it all will be with the refueling ban.

2. How would you imagine contribution in F1 racing from spectator’s perspective in next 20 – 40 years time?

I think it will pretty much remain the same, there isn't much fans can do trackside other than holding up banners; Or there might be something that the fans can do in terms of the cars' liveries.

3. Do you prefer to watch F1 races by yourself or with your friends?

I do have a few friends that like to watch F1 races, but they are not as in to them as I am. So I prefer to watch races myself...

4. If there was an application or web system that would help you to participate in F1 world, what would that be?

Like the above post, I think online streaming for F1 races is the trend to be for years to come. And also with the introduction of HD and/or 3D broadcasting.

Good luck!!!

Well I am a fan of swiftness and speed, so that's one of the big things - the speed. But I love the noises, the circuits/different places around the world, the glamour, and the drama.

2. How would you imagine contribution in F1 racing from spectator’s perspective in next 20 – 40 years time?
To be honest, they probably won't change from what they are like right now.

3. Do you prefer to watch F1 races by yourself or with your friends?
I have 1 friend who likes F1. We are planning on video chatting when the races are on or talking about them later, but I watch the races with my dad, who got me into F1.

4. If there was an application or web system that would help you to participate in F1 world, what would that be?
Well since you mentioned "application"- does iTunes have a Formula 1 app? Cause if they do... but if they don't, I would hope that they had the latest updates or race snippets or something like that.
For a web system or on TV, it would be great if you could follow a certain driver whenever you wanted during the race. So the screen could be split or maybe the driver could be in the corner of the screen and the race could be the main thing on the screen. Don't know if that makes any sense; just a thought. :)
