Not long to go now... the excitement is reaching boiling point! :(

It also seems too close to make any sort of reasonable prediction at this time, but Massa has a good record around here. If i had to bet my money would go on him, but the biggest potential spoiler is Mercedes' update that was not seen at testing. I haven't heard any other news on who may/may not be bringing upgrades too, except for Force India who are not.

what a strange year, we still don't even know what teams are turning up yet!

I think Ferrari, Mercedes, McLaren adn Red Bull are

If you look at last year's Bahrain results, Lewis Hamilton did the best of the rest. (of the non double diffuser cars) He drives well in that track. Given this year's competitiveness I'd give him the nod.

He had KERS to help him last year and his car had an interim diffuser. :P

His 2008 performance though was shocking.

Massa over Fernando? It's a bold choice, I'll give you that.

Yeah, for me the past form there edges it, you know how Massa is on certain tracks. Watch as i'm completely wrong then! :hehe:

I really can't wait for this race. We could even get two new cars launched on the Thursday before hand. Exciting stuff.

Thats my worry as well.

But if he sticks it on pole as we know he can, he'll be in the best position possible to avoid the likely season opening carnage.

However the first race is always an unpredictable one. No one expected McLaren to win at Oz 2008. Anyone could surprise. It's also not like its a straight forward shoot-out between two teams. We've got 4 in the mix, and 8 drivers.
