Hey guys. I am new to this forum here.

Well, I am an F1 fanatic from Malaysia, and I am only 16 years of age as of now.

I support McLaren since day one, but I do have some feelings for Lotus as its partly our local challenge in F1.

I love writing too, and my favourite F1 journalist is James Allen from ITV.

So, as a prelude to the start of the season, I decided to write a feature length preview of the upcoming F1 season.

Lotus is British not Malaysian.

He is not actually saying that Lotus is a Malaysian team,read what he is saying. It's obvious that in Malaysia Lotus will be a house hold name because it's now owned by a Malaysian,that does not mean it's lost it's British identity.

You can see why he would be excited over an F1 team owned by a fellow countryman.

He is not actually saying that Lotus is a Malaysian team,read what he is saying. It's obvious that in Malaysia Lotus will be a house hold name because it's now owned by a Malaysian,that does not mean it's lost it's British identity.

Its being refered to as "1 Malaysian Formula 1 Team" in Malaysia so don't be so sure - and why the double name anyway?

Its like Ferrari putting up shop and 5 years later an American buying it, and calling it USF1 in america but "Ferrari" in the rest of the world, but still portaying it as the orginal Ferrari.

This isn't "Lotus" its just a team called Lotus, and thats just my opinion and i might change it but you can't paint a car british racing green and add a yellow stripe and suddenly its the same team, sorry but it dosn't work that way.
