Ok Batman, so predictions for the entree rather than the appetiser??? It's a bit pointless predicting results after the event.

No, we go by time stamp of our predictions - you can check it out. We do Q and R and then tally the points, 3 for correct position, 1 for correct driver but on wrong position.

I already believe you Dali. What I'm saying, or implying, is that if you hadn't been accurate you wouldn't have bothered to post your triumph. So how about a prediction for the race?

That's true - I should have posted it at the beginning of this thread which I started just minutes before the quali. Oh well, next time...
Now for the race we already have a thread somewhere with the preferred and probable outcome...

That's basically what it is we do. I designed an Excel spreadsheet to make the tallying a bit easier and keep track of things. We also introduced a 'Joker' round that you have to declare before quali - you get double points for that race weekend.

"Massa’s 1:11.931s lap was actually faster than any other lap in the qualifying session indicating that he is on a relatively light fuel load. The same can probably be said for Hamilton who pushed very hard on his final run to join the Brazilian on the front row."

I worry for Lewis Hamilton in particular tomorrow.

Massa just got an amazing contract extension and I feel that their was a clause in his contract which involved untoward actions tomorrow.

Something along the lines of "Hey lil ole Schumi chimp, you wanna keep drivin the red cars then chimp has to do big daddy luuuuucoooo this very beeeeg thing."

I agree that Massa could be there to ensure that Kimi keeps up with the McLarens on his heavier fuel load and also as a battering ram should Lewis try to get past him on the first lap.

There is no doubt in my mind that Massa will be there as a spoiler. And an outside influence which has NOTHING to do with Kimi's driving skills could possibly hand the Fin the championship.

I hope I am wrong, I hope Massa goes for the win in front of his own fans and becomes a man outside the shadow of the Chin.

He will go for the win as long as he's not in a position to help KR. But as you correctly stated, he's contracted to Ferrari. He also truly believes in Ferrari, more so now than ever. So, sure, he'll do the 'right' thing in Ferrari's eyes - and there won't even be any team orders required because he knows what to do and will do it out of loyalty to his 'Famiglia'.
I just hope it won't be FA as the laughing third party in the end, but then again, his engine is on its second race weekend unlike LH or KR/FM. One of his only chances will be if FM and LH take each other out and he can finish the race second behind KR. That would be a reason to get totally pissed tomorrow night and be depressed.... :(

If massa takes out Hamilton and the FIA do nothing about it, there ends my association with F1.

It shows how Ferrari has tainted the sport over the years when we discuss this as if it were something normal and part of the sport.

You know, short of forbidding FM to race altogether, there will always be an 'outside influence which has NOTHING to do with Kimi's driving skills':roll::roll:

FM running second behind KR and preventing FA from clinching the title while LH is lingering down in 7th position or so due to some glitch or whatever and therefore enabling KR to win the title would be an 'outside influence which has NOTHING to do with Kimi's driving skills'

And besides, LH shouldn't be in the position to enable something like that scenario in the first place. FFS he doesn't have to win the race, just stay alive and do an average job
