And don't forget sly Keke, his manager :)

I read that Nico was Ron's first choice but its unlikely to happen because Keke doesnt want him up against Hamilton, Apparantly he has striven to keep them apart in the junior categories and if he showed badly against Hamilton now it would finish his F1 carrer. This was in an autosport article last week. I think if thats the case Heiki is most likely with cash thrown in. Same article said Davidson , Button and (Liuzzi I think)have been rejected but Fissi still in the picture. :?::?: Not sure about the latter. Heiki the one he should go for :D

I reckon it's Kovalainen, it just makes sense... a nice tidy solution.

If this is true that would be interesting info - thanks.
Though GF in contention? No way!

Hi everyone... this is my first post. :)

I was thinking that maybe Robert Kubica would be pretty good in a McLaren...
He has done well (apart from the crash) OUCH!

Yes, I like Kubica too, but I think Kovalainen is the way it will go. Our illustrious manager, beloved of his people, maligned and reviled by the yellow running dogs of the hated FIA, seems to have a penchant for Finns... Hakkinen, Raikkonen and, I reckon, Kovalainen. A natural progression and it comes in a convenient package, just open and serve. Besides I don't think BMW will be inclined to negotiate for Kubica's release. Especially since they just signed him 2008 in August.

On Thursday press conference in Brazil FA and LH were saying they are ACTUALLY good mates (?!?!?) and many things said are made up by press. Wonder if they haven't got special instructions on how to behave from now on... blame it on press and keep on working together? (not that press hasn't played it's role, but that much... er... kind of hard to digest...)

Indeed, it's al the media hyping it up, even though Hamilton said only several weeks ago he had lost respect for Alonso, he's not the man I thought he was etc. :D

Alonso is an experienced driver who knows a lot about car setup. From a development point of view it's nice to have somebody like that about the team. Borrow a few exceptions, like Rosberg, Kovalainen, or Kubica, a lot of the young drivers who look good, such as Sutil, aren't experienced enough to work for McLaren just yet. Hamilton is still inexperiened. Having two very young drivers would make me uneasy.

I would like to see Alonso gone as soon as possible, but if no better driver is about I'm sure I could manage to supress vomitting.

I heard this to, Nico father didn't want Nico competing against Lewis, doesn't seem Keke have any confidents in his son. Nico is a great driver I love to see him in McLaren. Nico or Davidson will be great but I am Lewis number 1 fan.

I think Keke wants Nico to stay with Williams, the team's on its way back up and Keke was of course world Champion with Williams.

It seems like the idiot is intent on shutting down every thread on the forum. Then, no doubt, he will brag to his mates about sabotaging the English forum.
