This year, I shall mostly be watching the races on my my new flat screen TV, live whenever I can, or recordings when I miss them due to work commitments.
A Christmas present to ourselves is the new TV and a hard drive recorder, so I'll be able to take in Friday, Saturday and Sunday for each race if I so choose.
We also replaced our lounge furniture last year and "my" new armchair is set up "close to the action", it has wide arms to support my snacks and drinks.

As for clothing merchandise - I don't really hold with that, but I did pick up some F1 BB caps and beanie's cheap from Tesco last year which I wear in my MX5...
Well, they only cost a £1 each in a bargain bin..

Despite the sports failings I can't stop being excited by the prospect of a new season, I just want it to start, now, this minute, and then life is back in its proper routine for the rest of the year.

That's alright, sit a bit closer to your TV and you won't notice the difference!

Well I have a shiny new 1080p 26" TV in my room which I'll be watching the Practices, Qualy and late night races on.

I'm thinking about getting the Jenson Cap and Shirt from the McLaren eShop. We will see.

Purchased a flask for coffee for the early morning races, and a mini fridge for beers at other times. :)

So how's everyone getting ready for the 2010 Season? For me, I just picked up a 55" Samsung LED 240Hz 8000Series, an alarm clock (to wake up at 3am), and a surround system. I still have the 2009 BMW Sauber gears, since Sauber didn't changed their name, the gears are good for the 2010 season too :D

Same, but bought the Macca team zip-tee. 55 inch Samsung LCD 120Hz due March 2nd. LED is very impressive, but not sure if I want to go all the way, with my first flat screen. Tell me, does it have all that integrated webs stuff onboard? PS3 is also in my equation for blue ray and web, so your answer may change my mind set-up..

I was putting off for a while due to the price but a week before the SuperBowl, BestBuy had a $1000 price cut on them and I bought it, but at the time I wasn't really sure about 240Hz from all the reviews I've read. The salesman at BestBuy showed me the difference between 60Hz, 120Hz, 240Hz, I was sold on it and after having the TV for a few weeks, I will never go back to anything lower then 120Hz. The details on a 240HZ is just amazing especially Blu-Ray and HD and I found myself playing PS3 games that I've not played in a long time because (F1 of course). I put my 42" Plasma (Hitachi Signiture Series-high end) in the bedroom, after seeing 240HZ, the plasma feel like SD (Standard), plus the LED uses 40% less energy and runs a lot quieter and cooler then my 42". The only downside is the widgets are a little slow to load up and LED TV is EXTREMELY BRIGHT, not recommened for the bedroom if your wife is sleeping and you are watching TV. I had to turn down the brightness down to 35 (100) otherwise it lid up the living room, otherwise I would recommend the LED 120Hz-240Hz, every single of my friends that saw the TV just drop their jaws, I just watched a few F1 races from my DVR, I found myself sitting throught the whole races.

To the OP, LoL, I like your style dude.

I'm about to purchase, in the next 5 days, Loewe Flatscreen telly, 56"

Rotel THX Amplification & Surround processing.

Miller & Kriesel THX Speakers.

Digital PVR box to record every moment Schumacher is on air.

Fiance and I just purchased a flat in London and we put a home theatre on the mortgage :-)

I'm so excited I try not to think about it.

First thing you need to do with the surround system is play F1 on the PS3, you can hear Micheal Shumacher coming up from your left and Mass is pressing you from the right :D

Ah the great question. X-Box or PS3? I'm gimping out for grand tourismo 5 but my best mate is trying to convince me all the real racers are now on Forza Motorsport on the XBox. I don't know what to do.
