It was the cars having to go round corners in both directions that was their downfall

Not that nonsense again? :banghead:

Windsor say it ain't so! I can only pray that this news is just more rampant rumor spreading but it seems to be carrying some weight to it now, I fear the worst.

Dear (non-existent) US F1 team,

You guys are a total embarassment to F1 in America and I'm horrified at the betrayal to not just me but all the other F1 fans all over the world that wanted to see the car on track and there's nothing to show after nearly a year of work. Not only do you have no plans for a 2nd driver, there's no car, no crash tests, no liveries, no pit crew, no uniforms, no nothing. If you want to succeed in F1, then you've made a mistake by the way that the management was run. This is the most disgraceful effort ever made by an F1 team entrant in 30 odd years. You never completed one gearchange with the car.

SHAME ON YOU

Peter Windsor needs to be sacked from every media thing he's involved with because I'm not going to read articles or listen to him on broadcasts knowing what's happened with USF1. Just personal opionion, but I don't like liars on air or in magazines.

Incompetent leadership is entirely to blame for USF1's failure.

So incompetent I don't want them to make it to the grid anymore. They'll take a slot away from StefanGP, who are capable, willing & have the drive to get on the grid, evident in the fact they're not giving up. USF1 want to miss 4 races... they should have their slot taken away from them NOW. Give it to someone capable!
Useless team management from Windsor & Anderson. I always had doubts in the team, but I always thought they'd probably get on the grid. Now, i'm sure they wont. They don't deserve to.

I heard rumours of people seeing Anderson & Windsor at NASCAR racing watching the race while they should have been in the shop working. Whether it was them looking for sponsors or not... they're incompetent, useless team taking a slot away from someone capable and willing to race. Don't brand me as a hater here but it's completely unfair they have wasted so much time while the other new teams have developed their cars perfectly well.

Today's rumour is that USF1 have applied to the FIA for permission to miss the flyaway races and start the season at Barcelona. Apparently, getting this permission will see a release of funds that were supposed to be paid to the team and they will be able to continue development. Hmm...

If this rumour is true, I wonder if this means Stefan GP will fill in the boots at Bahrain?

It isn't fair to the rest of the guys who have worked so hard to get to the grid in Bahrain. Then USF1 comes along and says.. give me more time. You wouldn't say to a university tutor... sorry sir can I have another 4 weeks.... i didnt have the funding for some pens to write my essay... sure son you can...

That wouldnt happen would it? FOM needs to put in place a deadline. There needs to be a deadline for a car launch. That should be the week before the first race. OR the final test session.

StefanGP are ready to go.. with a 2nd car ready by monday... so...

I think I can offer some possible explanations as to why USF1 have struggled;

1. Too many coffee and donut breaks. Especially if there's a Krispy Kreme shop nearby.

2. Too much time spent making all the films about the car being made and also taking time to show off the CAD drawing of the car. I wouldn't be surprised if they started working on a blooper reel of their films as well.

3. When the FIA inspector was sent round to the North Carolina factory and he came back saying everything was cushty, the FIA probably sent Hans Blix.

HA! :hehe:

I think you can sum it up to simply a rookie mistake. The mistake being over ambitious and didn't realise how hard it would be. Also the fact they had blind faith in a project. Bad business skills having blind faith. I don't mean this in a racist way but.. Typical US style; blind faith.

QUESTION.

How did they get into this position in the first place considering all their "years" of planning and how exactly does missing 4 races solve those problems?

Somehow their magical plan will magically fall into place. :D
