Once again the driver in some form or fashion is not penalized, are they not a TEAM? There seem's to be too much segregation between the two entity's?

Generally speaking, I agree as drivers benefit from the team. Hamilton et al. should be fined as well. 8)

inaw i think LH shouldmnt pay for the fine...he didnt do anything wrong, the team changed the tyres thats all, he didnt ask them to change them, if he DID ask them...then i would be saying for him to pay double whta McLaren paid

Drivers are meant to know the rules as well. When he and the other saw the tyres being changed he could have said something. A team involves everybody.

but can they remember EVERY rule? i think they can only remember the MAIN IMPORTANT rules

well...Schumacher didnt excatly need a team but he needed a team-mate to win the Europe GP one time & then alonso, the only team he needs, is a team of scientis who can figure out WHY he isnt leading the WDC!

You could say the same about other members of the team, that they need only learn rules which apply to them. For dear sake, even I know the rules about tyres and have had a brief read through the regulations and, apart from being an avid fan, I've no involvement in the sport.

If you break the rules, you should pay the price. That's the only way I see it. I guess if it were Button and Sato only they would have been penalized. It's disgusting to see this trend continuing in F1 :x . Aren't we tired of the favors that MS used to get from FIA. The rules should be applied to everyone regardless.

Correct. That's why I reckon Paul Stoddart should be the new FIA boss. He doesn't mind ruffling a few feathers.

Yeah...but it wasnt a MAJOR rule...it was a minor rule & McLaren had to take a set of wet tyres back to the FIA, to add to the punishment!

Yeah...but it wasnt a MAJOR rule...it was a minor rule.

Last time I checked a rule is just that, a rule, no matter how big or small it seem's to someone and if broken all involved, especially in a team sport, should face the consequences.

It seem's to me that the 'favoritism' hammer has swung the other way :? !!

Oh well it's all said and done now so let's just race and may the best man win.

Ferrari, Kimi and Massa were not punished at Fuji so why the fuss about Hamilton.

I'm not fussing concerning Hamilton personaly as I have stated many time's how I feel about him. My concern was in an 'overall team' aspect regarding the penalty.

How about the favoriteism shown to Ferrari by not banning them for illegal floors?

Leaving the drivers out of it, Ferrari were still unpunished at Fuji

There is a differance between breaking the rule's and pushing their interpretation thus being the first race of the season those 'floor's' were outlawed.
