Anybody ever been to an F1 in Hungary before? Fancied going to Turkey but it's going to be a little bit too early in the year for me financially so got thinking about Hungary instead, is it a good place or bad place to visit what are the hotels/food/people like?

i have some Hungarian friends and I know plenty of people who love Budapest. I would love to go there, Grand Prix or not, its a fascinating and generally very pleasant city and in my experience, even in Eastern Europe, the food is better than in Britain when equated with cost. And of course my Hungarian friends are lovely people but then I would say that!

I would agree. Having studied that part of the world for four years now I am captivated with the history of the location. Infact some of my classmates are actually in Budapest as we speak (read, type, whatever).

The tickets for Hungary aren't too dear, and although it might not produce the best of races, getting to the circuit appears quite good. Besides going to a GP isn't all about the race itself, it is an adventure!

TBH, It might not be the most exciting race to watch on TV but once your there it's still going to be exciting regardless of which circuit your at, So everybody seems in favour of Hungary so far then

There are many here that dislike the Hungaroring but I am not one of them and I have watched every race there since it's birth. I think it is a very good circuit, great people and great surroundings. Don't let others make the decision for you ok?

 The Hungarian Grand Prix has been one of my least favourites since I've been watching but I've always wanted to go just because it seemed like a great event to actually be at rather than watch on TV. Being at a race is always amazing even if the race itself is a bit dull and Budapest is very high on my hitlist of European cities

I'm currently planning my first overseas holiday, and I'm set to be in Croatia at this time. =) I'll be in Europe from July 5th-ish to August 3rd-ish. So perhaps I should consider going to this GP as the Hungaroring is one of my favourite tracks. :)

What's the average price of a ticket to the Hungaroring?
