I have been watching Son's of Anarchy so I keep getting the urge to do my bike test and buying a Harley and then set of cruising

I've always fancied learning to ride a bike and then cruising across America. I'm terrified of bikes though I've been on the back of two and nearly throttled the driver both times by holding on so tight. And even if I did decide to pass my test, I'd be forever worrying about coming off - I know I've done silly things in a car, and I'm sure I'd do the same on a bike and bikes are far less forgiving, plus loads of friends have been knocked off their bikes by idiot car drivers.

that is what has always stopped me doing my bike test is the whole, I drive like an idiot in the car so god knows what I will be like on a bike

Having only a license for motorcycle back in Switzerland made me a much better car driver over here in the States. You simply are more aware of things, anticipate much better what the other driver will/could do, etc.

I get this urge to buy an old vw camper van and just drive off into the sunset-stop when i feel like it-see all sorts of places-meet all sorts of people.
Anyone else get urges like this? Or any other sorts?

Yes, strangely, this is one of my secret urges too. Love those VW vans.
