I shoot a Beretta PX4 Storm 9mm, Sig Sauer Mosquito 22, and a Sig Sauer 522.

Nothing to frown on Tex. I enjoy shooting, there is a skill set involved... Breathing, muscle control, and patients. Its like golf in some aspects. If some people don't get it then thats ok.

I also enjoy the craftsmanship, I mean, how many products can you buy that recommend you tear them down, inspect and clean often. Can't do that with an iPhone or PS3 or Tag Hauer.

If the Mods do not think this is a place to talk about anything else then they can lock my thread. Its Ok.

But outside of F1 this is my second greatest hobby. I am not a member of any firearms forums however I read them on occations.

The previous thread was locked at Tex's request.

I haven't shot very many firearms. I just stay with air rifles because I'm too lazy to go all the way to a gun range.

The gun's I've shot

.22
M4
.40 caliber pistol
.300 winchester (the kick on this gun is scary)

Out of all those guns I only own the .22 rifle (what American doesn't own one). The .300 was my neighbor's, and the M4 and pistol are my cousin's (he's with the LA county sheriff's department). Shooting is fun though, even though I'm a terrible pistol shot. I don't like to hunt either.

I hadn't had time to respond to possibly change the direction of the post. I thought it was a good place for me to share a little bit.

It seemed to go down hill talking about crime. But there are other aspects to.

I was getting a group of friends together for a little competition and then decided to put it on hold because of weather. Now its enough of us to possibly make a charity event out of it. I haven't figured that out yet or what charity to be the recipient. Could be easy like bringing a bag of goods to donate to the Dallas Soup Kitchen. Or see I can find something more unique.

I would like to do that with an F1 gathering, but there aren't that many supporters here in the US..

I'm not a big hunter either, I do like jerky though.

.22 are the cheapest thing to shoot right now with the price of ammo so everyone is now making a nice tactical in a .22. Colt, M&P, Ruger and of course the Sig.

Steel targets are my preference "plinking".

Here is my current set:

Wow! That rifle is awesome, is that a red dot sight you have on it?

I stick to target shooting too, although most the time I just shoot empty cans in my back yard with my air rifles. In fact, I was thinking of getting another one the other day.

Yep, Its a NcStar 4 reticle red dot sight. Its my favorite gun so far, but truly inexpensive. There are more items that I can get for it, but that is the fun of it.. shoot it for a while, then pick something else up for it. Next is either a rail system or a bipod.

I know what you mean about thinking about getting another one.. :hehe:

Here is a paper target I was working on with Beretta.

Nice, I like how you shot the upper left hand corner. :hehe: Thats very good though, I'm terrible with pistol's. My cousin and I were at a range shooting a cinder block about 10 meter's away and I went through the whole mag without hitting it once.

Anyways you have a very nice setup SG. BTW what do you mean by a rail system? Like a weaver rail?

Ironic all Americans talking about guns! :P

Not me! :nono:

There is serious gun control in New York... Meaning, no you can't have one.

It's kinda bad here in California too. You can't have more than 10 bullets in a mag, and at the local gun range I've been to you're not allowed to rapid fire semi-auto's. You have to wait 1 second between each shot.

You come visit me and I swear you will have a good time at the range. :hehe:

I swear we'd have a better time wig a night out on the town! Chicks would dig my accent

Yep exactly. picatinny, weaver, or whatever it takes. Sig actually makes the rail system for $20 bucks. They were on backorder though :(
