er...it was a bit much, for me...the bit when the truck did an 18 wheel drift was a personal highlight. and why Pink? She's not the first person I think of when I'm watching Aussie V8s...

i disagree with the statement at the end.

Surely they should just of done some clips of highlights from last year to let that speak for the racing.

I personally think v8s are better than f1 (but thats because I dont need to get up during the middle of the night to watch 3 quarters of the races, besides no race is really boring unlinke the ones which where one guys leads the whole way)
But in Aus to get fans we need some sorta big star to get new fans. Because to be a "mainnstream" sport we need these sorta adds. v8's is up there with the 2nd favourite code is australia (rugby League) which is only slightly behind Aussie Rules. Unlike F1 which I'd imagine in the UK comes no-where near the EPL. So the situation is abit different
