It seems that amidst the chaos of USF1 leaving it to the last minute despite a headstart and Campos being to all intents and purposes bankrupt (Though salvageable), the team in the most trouble is NOT a newcomer, but the worst managed team on the grid - the existing team of Force India.
Force India is AGAIN late filing its accounts with Companies House. That's illegal. Very. If Force India does not file the Accounts within a little less than 3 months the company will be stricken from Companies House's records. What does that mean? It means Force India would cease to exist. Its assets would default to the Crown and its F1 Entry would default back to the FiA.
The Silverstone operation's got a history of filing its accounts late. The 2006 & 2007 accounts were filed a total of 28 Months late. When filed, the Auditor revealed that the business cannot maintain itself without a lifeline from its shadowy Orange India parent company. One has to wonder just why it is that everyone else on the grid operating in the UK (And the vast majority - more than 99% - of businesses operating in the UK generally)have little trouble filing this info on time, but Force India seems to think the rules don't apply to it.
What is in Force India's accounts that is so controversial they are risking the company's dissolution by delaying the filing and, if there's nothing worth hiding, why the delay? One would assume its because the files are not ready. Again...Why? This is an annual task, it's not like the process sneaked up on the team.
So then...Perhaps Stefan will be filling in for Force India and not one of the Cossie teams after all.
