It could be... it doesn't matter much yet; but Mclaren could be faster, or at least already have a couple of leads (just like Merc) to improve their already good car. Ferrari could have the same too.....

Again, its the issue of how much to care about testing times. They are not the end result, but at least now with less testing, the little testing we do get to see is probably a bit more indicative.

I think McLaren will be able to develop the car much more quickly than any other team on the grid (stating the blindingly obvious there) - so yeah, it would be safe to say that they will probably be near or at the top come Bahrain.

I'm a little bit worried over Ferrari's B-Spec F10 with that nifty diffuser design.

I don't think they'll be top, but they'll be there or there abouts. Hard to say - F1 is far too close these days for any single team to get a clear advantage in speed.

I don't know how I didn't notice i read it like the word was already there lol.

Not sure if anyone has already mentioned this but Ross Brawn said that the Mercedes had equal pace to the Ferrari on full tanks but they lacked pace on low fuel compared to Ferrari. He also said that McLaren seem to have good pace.

Steady on, it's early days yet, and for all you know it could be 1987, 1992 or 1996 all over again...

Perhaps even complete with three consecutive races when Schumacher didn't even complete the first lap.

That's not blindingly obvious to me (ok, my eyesight is really poor), Ferrari stopped development last year but their car appeared to show some pace before the McLaren sorted out their "dog" (EJ's words not mine), Force India won the development race in terms of how much faster their car was, red bull came on pretty strongly.
