The Russians are coming ! The Russians are Coming!

I have read a book that is called "the Next 100 Years Aforcast for the 21st Century" by George Friedman.

The guy said that between 2010 and 2020 Russia will become a powerful nation and they already becoming a powerful nation and there will be conflits with the European countries and U.S..
It will so bad that they might start a war but when Russkies will fall the country will be severly destroyed. There allready was a conflict about 1 or 2 years ago with Ukraine. Russian government shut off natural gas to this country and it affected other european countries and it was during winter.
Some how the conflict was resolved.

Putin and W both die in 2020 and knock at the pearly gates. Peter opens and says: well, as former presidents you earned the right to see the headline of your counterpart's most prestigious newspaper in the year 2025. So, Putin picks up the New York Times of 2025 and laughs loud out. See W, it says Iraq is turning into a second Vietnam for the US, ha ha ha!
W picks up the Pravda and starts rolling on the floor laughing hysterically. Well my friend, your newspaper reports skirmishes at the Chinese-German border!

Actually it always makes me a bit nervous when they do this. I don't know what they do in the USA so much, but in the UK with our 30 years of having lived under the constant threat of terrorist bombings etc (IRA) they only ever raise the terror alert based on sound intelligence from multiple sources, and anyway it won't be long now until the next huge Islamic fundamentalist outrage in the west, you can always sense those periods when you're in the calm before the storm with these fanatics, and they have been way too quiet for too long, I fear 2010 could be a pretty bad year in some ways.

Good news from Ireland though today, the Unionists and Sinn Fein have agreed on the final part of the devolution that was a main sticking point, shows what can be achieved if you hold your ground against terror, no matter how long it takes. I'd actually feel safer walking around Belfast at night these days, than I would walking around the middle of Manchester trying to steer clear of the gangs of ugly braindead tattoo'd hoodies!
