Where's Sebastian Bourdais. If anything, USF1 should be begging Bourdais to drive for them.

Maybe, maybe he already has a better offer if the rumours are to be believed...

USF1 definitely ought to be begging Bourdais to join. He has name recognition stateside, and he's a decent driver.

Montoya was columbian as far as I know

Yes, he was.

He still is Columbian, isn't he? :P

He's not French, he's definately Columbian.

He's not!! Juan Pablo is Columbian!!!

Michelin is French, thefore he's french.

So. Heidfeld is Mercedes' reserve driver.

Boo. :(

Yeah, abit poo really considering his quality.
In fact reserve is such an insult, to the guy who holds the record of most consectutive races finishes [not sure about that fact!].

True true for Heidfeld. But the simple fact was he had nowhere left to go. He should have gone back to Sauber instead of Dela Rosa. But who knows what happened there. Renault would have been good, but they choose money over experience and craft. He couldn't go to a new team either. USF1, Campos, that Serbian team. None of them are secure, and they are all high risk career ruining seats.

Heidfeld really didn't have anywhere to go in the end. I remember someone saying that this years driver market was like a game of musical chairs, and it really was. Nearly everyone ended up in a different seat, and in the end, Nick Heidfeld was the man left standing when the music stopped. But none the less, he's at least in a good position to re-take a race seat the following year.

Also thought I'd mention how Alvaro Parente (Virgin reserve driver) wasn't actually there at the launch of the new car. Apparently one of his sponsors fell through and Virgin dropped him. Who says F1 isn't a money game, when Luiz Razia is Virgin's reserve driver now. You think seeing Badoer replace someone was bad :hehe: Razia

Columbian through and through. Very gorgeous and no French traits.

You're completely right, and the musical chairs analogy seems true, also.
Despite the problem, is Razia better?

I was actually expressing my outrage about the comparison with the lovely French - what an insult to them to get thrown into the same pot with Mr. Chubby :P:rofl::brolly:

Really? I hadn't noticed that. Poor Parente.

Not really, although Parente isn't great, either. They've both got potential, though.

I agree. Although the reason i say he might have a better offer is because the Stefan driver rumours (to partner Nakajima) have so far been Ralf, Villeneuve, Bourdais and... Piquet. *cough*

Any bets on who it's gonna be? I have seen people convinced that Villeneuve has been made an offer, but elsewhere i have heard (from a better source if i remember correctly) that Bourdais and Piquet will test for them later this month.

I'd guess Bruno Senna to be honest.
