BMW Sauber-Ferrari, for some reason, that name doesn't sound right, it doesn't roll of the tongue nicely, matter of fact, team members and officials are still wearing BMW on their clothes, it was odd seeing Peter Sauber at the launch with a BMW Sauber sweater. I am worried for Peter because he's only got one sponsor, he cut his workforce by 60% and is on record saying that BMW Sauber-Ferrari ( ) need addition sponsors by Bahrain or this team will not have enough money to survive. While the hot topics are about Micheal, Ferrari, McLaren, and Mercedes, I am rooting for the little guy and hopefully Peter can do what Brawns did last year, come out the gate with a fast start and sponsors will jump to write checks for the team to continue. The 2010 Sauber still have the 2009 BMW paint scheme, hopefully BMW will be inspired enough to come back now that Mercedes is a major share holder with Brawns.

The two rumors i have heard are Panasonic (Kobayashi backing) and Nescafe for sponsors.

I love the current colour scheme and how the car looks though. :D:D:D

Those are the rumours I have been hearing, too. I like the car, I think it is the nicest-looking one of the lot, though the colour scheme could have a little more of the grey (I think it's grey). :)

Yeah, certainly the sidepod area seems to get darker/lighter depending on the photo. The wings are just exposed carbon fibre from the looks of what i've seen. For me, the shape is mean looking, a bit crazy and every so slightly odd, which is generally how i like my modern cars. Oh, and the wheels are the icing on the cake - quality. 8-):D

And i just remembered, i read earlier today/maybe yesterday that Sauber himself said there was actually a budget in place to get through the season, even at this stage. :scratchchin:

I know they're still trying to secure money from last year. Thats the only reason they are still called BMW Sauber. Hopefully that works out for them, rather than Bernie being an arse-hat again, and keeping the money for himself.

Hopefully it all works out. They're a great team

No doubt they'll be show-boating during testing to attract sponsors.

I doubt Sauber would let BMW buy in to the team again. The whole reason he sold the team was to guarantee the future of his employees and he got stung by BMW pulling out. As a result, he's had to go through the uncertain stage where Qadbak were going to buy the team, then didn't, and then had to use his own money to buy the team back but lay off as much as 60% of his staff (depending on which report you read) in order to keep it alive.

There were several M6's racing this past weekend at the Daytona event in the GT class. It was really impossible to determine by sound if they were running a V8 or the V10 that is offered in the M6.

They should backronym the BMW.

Any suggestions?

But didn't BMW decided to do the right thing and sold it back to Peter at a bargain basement deal? instead of somebody else.

They've been GT racing long before F1 and after F1, just hoping they keep their option for 2012.
