The thing is. We're basing these assumptions on the fact that we've only seen two cars thus far (plus williams spy shots). The McLaren looks radical, but looks mean nothing. It could still be an utter farce of a car, or brilliant dominate car. We can't complain that the Ferrari doesn't look that different, considering the Williams looks the same as well. Really we just don't know until Bahrain.
Not to mention, the cars as well look totally different after winter testing.
Also, according to James Allen Ferrari found the rumours amusing.
I distinctly remember last year. Everyone expected Brawn to be about 1 second ahead, with Ferrari, Williams and Toyota behind. But nobody saw Red Bull coming. So again, it's all wait and see stuff.
Very true it could be that the McLaren is a radical mess up,it could seem blindingly quick in the wind tunnel but until it hits the track who knows.
