We have a thread for Movies and one for Music but I can't find a television thread anywhere, so here it is.

Has anyone seen The Wire? I'm obsessed with it at the moment. It's a US crime drama set in Baltimore, right in the middle of the drugs market and it's bloody brilliant. I'm only mid way through the 4th season so don't mention any impending deaths or convictions please.

Once I finish that I'm either making my way through the Sopranos or the West Wing next but I can't decide which to do first. Any ideas?

The new prequel to Only Fools and Horses is on Sunday at 9pm on BBC1, called "umpalumpa, Drugs, Rock and Chips".

I've seen season 1 and nothing after that. I was hearing that it jumped the shark a bit and just never bothered with the second season.

Definitely check out the Wire. It's only 5 seasons long with about 12/13 episodes per season (although they're a full hour long rather than the usual 40 for US shows).

How are they going to do a prequel? I'll take it they're using different actors because David Jason couldn't pull off a young Del Boy anymore.

Anybody seen Glee? It's entertaining enough, but the pacing is really weird - and it keeps changing. The first half of the Pilot was slow as molasses, then the second half was outrageously quick. Decent music.

I have never watched it but maybe I should.

Sopranos for the win as I tried the West Wing but it did not float my boat. I have been hooked on Law and Order for 20yrs and Cops. I really like Bizarre Foods and Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations.

It's set in the 60's, so yes they're using different actors... however the actor who played Rodney will be playing Freddie Robdal, who was revealed to be Rodney's biological father in the last Only Fools episode.

I was leaning towards the Sopranos so I'll definitely go for that

I don't dare watch it because I watch enough TV as it is and I know it's the sort of thing I'll get into.

My favourites at the moment are NCIS (Gibbs rocks :boxedin: ), House and Grey's Anatomy.

I wish I had that channel because I heard Dexter is a great series and recent news is he, Michael C. Hall, is in full remission from Hodgkin's Lymphoma.
