Yeah, I think that another big problem is the lack of seating and facilities at so many of the good road courses. Road America would be a dream come true for me, its an amazing track and would be perfect for F1 with its long straights and high speed corners, but it will never happen because of the kind of money Bernie is asking for from these circuits, Indy is the only place that could possibly come up with that kind of money.

Watch this and tell me it wouldn't be amazing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9QX4DKt0H9g

If Monza & Suzuka had a baby that was molested by Mugello, this would be the result.

haha nicely put!

What a fantastic track, it's a little thin but the racing would be amazing.

What kind of downforce would you be wanting? I would say an extremely low setting, or maybe a high one for the high speed corners. I'm confused, help!

Have a look at how much earlier Montoya is getting the power down over Wilson.

id say low, time gained in the slow corners wouldnt outweigh the time lost in the fast areas .

americans have some pretty hardcore circuits, but theyre just a tad bit deadly.

Any track is deadly if you really think about it  .

its a shame that the majority of US motorsport fans lose interest in F1 after 2-3 years and then they fade out until another state is ready to chew the GP Circus up and spit it out

The loss of interest is not the fans fault and I wish that sad excuse would stop being used. Admittedly there are other series that the US racing fans follow wholeheartedly but who's fault is that? F1 keeps on pulling their bs yet the US racing series have been smart enough to stick to their promises and not leave the racing fans in limbo like F1 has done.

oh cmon its not F1's fault America doesnt get into it hugely. what does F1 have to do for the Americans what they havent already done? How many different races do they need to try?

They, F1 and a US track owner, need to forge out a longterm deal once again. Indy was not my favorite venue but I did not dislike it all together and maybe if the powers that be had struck a deal for lets say an additional 5yrs F1 would had more time to appease the non-F1 fans in the US. I believe that is one of the main issues that potential fans are displeased with, no commitment on our side aswell as on F1's side. I see no reason why Bernie could not hashout a deal with several tracks throughout the US for future races.

Since Indy is already up to spec they could start there and in the mean time the other track/tracks would/could have several years to spreadout the expense of bringing their tracks up to F1/FIA standards. Then there could possibly be a rotating system between them and with all the new safety systems in place at the new venues leaves them open to even more FIA events during the year that F1 is at another track. I do not know how feasible this idea is but it does not seem to be that far fetched?

This is only my simple opinion and I am not trying to speak for the majority.
