Did you try the Beta? I personally didn't like it that much - maybe it was just the map though. It was too bright and I absolutely abhor the Death cam - it makes sniping stupid because you sneak around into an uber-cool position, kill someone and then they know exactly where you are :irked: The UAV kept locking my PS3 up too :(

I never got into COD. Loved the single player, hated online. Normally, after a couple of hours, I'll get into things and actually be able to shoot people. My entire COD experience revolved around spawning and dying about 10 seconds later, repeatedly. I gave up in the end :(

Yeah the Single Player was fantastic like watching a film. Probably the best single player I've played in ages.

Without coming across big headed i'm pretty good at the multiplayer....well i think i am.

But its not the best multilayer game I've played

i though single player, was so-so, not as good as MW1, the game was made for online play, its tough to start with but when you level up its so addictive, currently played for over 1 day in total!

Uncharted 2 - best game on ps3? reason to own PS3?

I own a PS3, but I haven't really used it for anything other than watching movies since I got my PS3 a little over a year ago. I've owned my Xbox 360 since the 2005 launch and owned my Wii since the 2006 launch, and I use both for gaming far more than my PS3. I even play games on my Wii a lot more than my PS3. There are a few reasons for this.

1) I absolutely hate Sony controllers. Their poor left analog stick placement is just plain retarded and inconvenient, since I shouldn't have to reach for the controller's primary control option. It should just be where my thumb naturally wants to rest on the controller. The controller is of anti-ergonomic design, being tiny with stubby grips in a semi-conical form even though no palm naturally conforms to the shape of a cone. The L2 and R2 triggers are convex, even though virtually every trigger in the history of triggers on anything with triggers have been concave and concave triggers just beat the bloody crap out of convex triggers every time. The face buttons are piss-poorly, illogically named after shapes rather than the industry standard letters, even though the shapes have absolutely no logic to them and are far less convenient than simple letters. Where are the triangle, circle, square, and ex buttons on my keyboard again? (Technically, the circle is not the same as the letter O or a zero, and the ex isn't the same as the letter X, even though you could cheat and use the letters O and X to stand in for circle and ex.)

2) Multiplatform games typically run better on 360 than on PS3, at least in the case of games released at the same time for both platforms (versus games like Oblivion or BioShock released much later for PS3). If I'm going to play a game available for both platforms and I have both platforms I might as well get the version that runs better.

3) Achievements work better than Trophies. Besides the fact that all 360 games have included Achievements since the 360 launch while early PS3 games didn't have Trophies, I have always been able to easily reference my Xbox Live Gamertag on various apps on various websites for years, so that people can see my Gamertag, Gamerpic, Gamerscore, and what games I've recently played, and typically someone can click to go to another page detailing all the games I've played, when I played them, and what Achievements I got and when I got them, and all of this with basically no effort on my part. This hasn't been possible with Trophies at all, at least not until perhaps the past several months. As of a year ago the only site I knew of that would do something like this for Trophies still required me to manually enter all this information rather than it being updated automatically, and you could credit yourself for whatever you wanted at will, and to illustrate this I gave myself Trophies for games I never even played.

I didn't mean to bunny-trail that far off. I just meant to back up an off-hand comment.

So, back on point..., I haven't really played any games on my PS3 in roughly a year. Until this past Christmas I only owned LittleBigPlanet, and I haven't played that in a year. I played a couple demos and borrowed Formula One Championship Edition for a bit but that's been it. However, I recently got Uncharted 2 and Prototype for my PS3, though I haven't opened either yet since I've still got my nose buried deep into Forza Motorsport 3.
