Formula One related discussion.

I recently traveled to Canada and truly enjoyed talking F1 shop with our Canadian counterparts. This is a rare commodity here in the States as Nascar is obviously the prevalent form of motorsport. Hopefully the US F1 Team will change this over time to the likeliness of ice hockey, yes wishful thinking.

Two cents.

Cheers

Yes that would be nice if we could get our North American counterparts to support the USF1 effort but there is one issue, Canada is so european in mindset I doubt it will happen anytime soon. I have met numerous F1 fans from around the world and we would talk forever about F1 if given the chance and they were all just great people.

Spread the luv that is F1  !!

Not likely. NASCAR and Formula One are about as close to polar opposites as they could possibly get, outside of taking one of them and making them a ball sport. Most of the 75 million NASCAR fans look at F1 and don't see racing. Besides, Americans aren't very big on embracing anything that didn't originate in America. Further, they'd probably want all the races taking place in the US rather than all over the world. I really don't see F1 ever being anything more than a niche interest within the US, even if a few years down the road USF1 suddenly magically started dominating F1 with American drivers behind the wheel winning championships.

Yes, wishful thinking indeed. The few Nascar types I know would never embrace F1, yes there's a lot of connotations you could make that would be accurate.

Since the 1960's music and rock group such as The Beatles, Rolling Stones and The Who toured America. Formula 1 auto racing is a form of entertainment, and to gain popularity in America they need to make an appearance.

how many different GPs does the US need for F1 to take off? F1's appeared a lot so thats no excuse.
