So many think that nick is only so far ahead because of "good" luck. And yet he is the man who has never been beaten by any team mate other than alesi in his debut year and frentzen who was at the peak of his form.

He has beaten kimi(highly rated) massa(at ferrari now), Webber(highly rated) (vellnuerve a wdc) and kubica (a Gp2 star) Yet people still question him. Nonsense. If his team had given him the right tyres in the last race HE WOULD HAVE WON OR COME SECOND, they didnt and the rest is history, remember his first stop was AFTER kubica despte him QAULIFYING HIGHER> so when I read a lot of mince about button, webber and vettel being deserving of a top seat I laugh.

Rosberg and Sutil on the other hand have very good record against team mates(except nico's debut year) but to be fair they havent came up against much yet(nicos debut year exccluded webber is a GOOD driver) People might say ah but kubica made a muck of qauli! mabye he did, but then thats because he cant go at a certain level without making small mistakes.

I am sure if nick wanted to be he could do really fast sector times but he too would surcum to the fact that - being quick for 2/3 of a qauli lap aint good enough if you dont have enough skill to maintain that level of performance. Who is the quickest guy in F1? Definately nico. Who is the best driver? hard to say but its not vettel, button, webber or kubica, until kubi learns to drive more controlled. Vettel just dosent have the pace in the dry.

So yeah if its wet all year but it wont be.....

I'd say Heidfeld is very underrated, he's had a really strong year, kept his head down and delivered the goods for BMW. With a stronger car he could be challenging for wins next year, and when he finally does get one, it'll be well deserved.

Gotta love Wurz for saying that infront of the ITV cameras when Ted Kravitz asked him what he thought of Heidfeld.

I would say also that Heidfeld is rated as a good driver thats why he is a racing @ BMW, remember theyre coming 2nd (officialy) in the constructors points & will continue to improve in my opinion. Considering he's coming 5th in the points table and that the top 4 spots will be full for a long time, he is doing as well as he can and has it better then alot of other drivers.

Id rather be racing for BMW then RBR, Williams or Honda so I think hes got it pretty well.

So now back to the posts about Vettel, Rosberg, Button Web.......

Yeah of course I am well aware that webber got more points nick but nick was INURED for five races in a bike incident before that point in time nick had more points that webber!

Heidfeld is very consistent but lacks the ultimate pace to be a championship winner imo, although he could win a bunch of races given the right car.

Heidfeld Is quick and you can only go as fast as your car.

I agree with the the last post by red racer. Love to see nick in a ferrari to get M'claren back for spoiling his dreams. Or in a williams if frank got some major investment from some where. Now that williams have a decent but not great engine they may improve aerodynamically!

Heidfeld drove for Williams in 2005 and was only confirmed as a driver after succeeding in some kind of shootout against Pizzonia on the car's launch day.
