The only reason he got the votes was in a confusing runoff system, the guys who happened not to be in on all(or the important parts of) the corruption were the ones who voted for him. The guys in control of it all(the money laundering, the mob hit funding, the freemasonry and the P2) were flabbergasted at his election, and he himself didn't even want to be pope. You can rest assured the guy they had ready to take his place once he was gone, was one of their men. Keep in mind the vatican's wealth is on a level that has been termed "obscene". It makes Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, and the Sultan of Brunei look like homeless bums.Yup, disgustingly filthy rich - the biggest land owner in the world. They should use that money in a meaningful way and not hoard it
