Wow, I envy you...Australia. I am stuck in America :(
I've wanted to go to Australia since I was a little girl.

Well pack a suitcase and come already! :hehe: There are plenty of cabins near-by for roughly what I'm paying: $155 per week.

It's great because I feel like I'm on holidays, it's relatively cheap, and I'm still only 1.5hours away from Work in the CBD. For every upside though, there is a downside. The locals are a bit iffy. There is high unemployment in the area, and high volumes of dole bludgers and trailer trash. There are 4 bottle shops in the area and 2 pubs.

In a couple of pay-rises time I want to live on the other side of the hill, which is that picture you see up above.

All Saturday I hear: :censored::censored::censored::censored::censored::censored::censored:
:hehe:

And I love your pics Gaz. How should I put it? Um.... Your beach has nice character! :hehe::thumbup:

Wow, $155 per week isn't too bad. Maybe that will be my vacation for next summer :D

Yeah, it's really cheap. I was so surprised when I looked at it.

It's weird being so close to the beach and paying so little. I feel really guilty.

I was looking at going for apartments in Sydney for about $250 per week. Which is about half my wage. It's wierd you would pay about $800 per week for the same thing if I was say... In Bondi.

My uncle has a place in Coogee Beach, (next to Bondi) for $200 per week. It's a 2 bedroom half house. The average price there fore an apartment (to buy) is 1.3 Million.

He moved there about 10 years ago, and his landlord has never raised the rent.

Here is a link of the average house prices in Umina. http://www.domain.com.au/public/SuburbProfile.aspx?searchTerm=Umina%20Beach&mode=research

I will consider it for vacation next summer!

Hmmm...it depends on whether the people are rude or not.
Whenever I go to a beach with the majority of the populous being wealthy, I don't have a good time. I'm not really a fan of "rich" people.

At Pearl Beach the people are nice. If they don't like you, they just won't talk to you.

Most of them will say g'day if you're walking past them. It helps to say g'day first... :)

Honestly, it is waaaay to pricey here. And like all governments, our state likes to procrastinate and our roads and transport systems need urgent attention, instead they raise profit at our expense and then carry on like little children in parliament.

It is a beautiful CBD, when you get away from the 'burbs. And the weather here is great.

However, I'm only here for work. If I had it my way, I'd pack up everything and move back to Hobart, where I used to live. Now that is the best Aussie city in my opinion.:cloud9:

That's too bad, but Australia as a whole sounds lovely, so I would definitely consider going there!
So I guess you like watery/beachy places?
