...I also didn't want to intrude upon someone else's. So hello!
My name is "Suitcase" and I'm from the East Coast of the United States. I'm a sophomore in high school. I'm on the (indoor and outdoor) track team.
My dad got me into Formula 1 this past season. I had seen it before but was never interested in it. But while I was watching the Singapore Race in 2009, something clicked in my mind and I started to enjoy F1. My favorite driver is Jaime Alguersuari, though obviously not because he is amazing. He seems like a good guy who deserves success...and he is gorgeous

...My real name is Sarah. :]
You are, of course, welcome to ask me various kinds of questions.

I hope you have a lovely day/evening/night! Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Hiya! Welcome to the wonderful world of F1!! :wavey:

BTW What events do you do? I wish our school had an indoor track season. I used to be very competitive in high school track, but I was too much of a punk and I didn't compete my senior because of grades. I never got the chance to see if I could break 11 seconds in the 100 meters, although I plan on competing when I go back to college next year.

Hi! Thanks!
During winter I run the 55m sprint, the 200m sprint, and the 4x200 relay. During spring I run the 100m (best event!), 200m, the 4x100 (another good one), and 4x200. Basically I am sprinter. :] I run the 100m dash in about 12-13 seconds, depending on if I do really well or if I mess up. I'm not quite sure what my exact best time is; sorry.
Oh, and I run the 400m and 4x400 when another girl can't do it. Hate that race!

:wavey: Welcome Sarah, Well done for getting into F1, it's a great sport; and it's got more drama than the Bold and the Beautiful.

Thank you. Haha, it is a lovely sport and does seem very drama-filled.

Elmira, I know it well - 45 min from where I live, not much to do there. The best thing in Elmira is Rte17/I-86 to get outta there :)

haha I was the same way, I only really cared about the 100 and 4x100. My best ever was 11.27 electronic in my junior year. I did basically the same events 100, 200, 4x100 (my favorite), and long jump. I used to really like long jump, although I gave up on it when I couldn't jump farther than my PR which was set freshman year. :hehe: I also did the triple jump when I wasn't doing the 200, but I wasn't very good and i only did it so that I didn't have to run the 4x4 (I hated that event too!! :irked:) Oh man I absoluetly loved track, I regret being such a dumbass my senior year.

I would love to be at 11.27 by my junior year. Good job!
I used to do long jump but the coach was insane and I wasn't that infatuated with it. The guy would make me practice hopping and leaping and jumping etc for what seemed like hours. If I had liked it a little bit more I would have been more devoted because he wanted me to do well and he was efficient but it wasn't my main concern so I stopped doing it.
I think I did triple jump once in practice. That didn't work out.
The 4x4 sucks. People are always saying, "Oh, but it gets you in shape for your sprints!" and they're probably right, but I still hate it. The individual 4 sucks even more.
Sorry about your senior year predicament...I'm sure you can bounce back onto the track. :]

Hi Sarah, good to see a bit more girl power on the forum, I hope you stay. Im Anna and currently support Lewis (You'll soon find that out if you havent already :D ) Juan Pablo Montoya remains a favourite. Quite like Webber. Piquet was cute but there were 'issues' there :hehe: Cant wait to see senna racing, he's a favourite too.
