I do agree that Hamilton should have taken the pitlane a little easier, but having been off countless times on his in-lap, perhaps he just neglected the fact gravel was on the outside of that corner. McLaren made a tactical error, Hamilton over did it - although, to be fair to him, his tyres were completely shot and the pitlane entrance would have offered completely different track conditions compared with the rest of the circuit.

A DC repeat I'm thinking... :P

McLaren made a tactical error & Hamilton made a monumental error.
It was not imperative for him to win that race to be the WDC but he still went out like the hero he thinks he is & completely shredded the tyres.
Like you said he knew full well he was in trouble going off numerous times so he was STUPID to not be more careful.

perhaps he just neglected.

Yeh every accident can be summed up that way

perhaps he neglected to brake
perhaps he neglected to steer away from the wall

perhaps you should see it for it what it was

His mindset was that he wanted to cream the opposition on the race he becomes WDC.... just an arrogant DH who has had a free chariot ride to one of the best drives in Formula one.

Is it still sarcasm if I have to explain it ????

Sorry but it's just another free service I offer.

Well he has made very few errors this season, compared with those he's raced against this season, and he's still technically a rookie.

Yes he is a very good driver I admit. But that mistake is equivalent to 5 or 6 in my eyes.
What I find funny about Lewis is that when he wins a race, he invariably tells us he was only driving at 80% then he goes out of his way to tell us “BUT I AM A ROOKIEâ€

Or castrated? Ouch! :D Do you foresee a career as a mezzo-soprano for him down the road?

He was in equal cars to his competitors in F2 and was stunning

I imagine Ron is kicking himself spending all that money on a double world champion and realizing this is a car that a monkey can win a title in.

I agree Madbrad, Alonso is certainly in with a chance, but I think it's Hamilton's.

I think Lewis has it in the bag as long as Alonso doesn't take him out in the first corner. Alonso has nothing to lose (some would say) now. Kimi will do well but not well enough. We'll see how they line up in quali.

Should Alonso, or anybody for that matter, take Hamilton out deliberately, I'm sure the FIA will do nothing. Mosley set his stall out weeks ago with his pro-Alonso remarks and now the highly indepedent head of the Spanish Motorsport Association. You can't make it up. Only at the FIA.

I think that Hamilton knows that he should try to steer a wide berth when it comes to Alonso. The best way he can do this is to get pole position. He has the ability to ensure that the slimeball never gets close from there on in. :D

He also has the pressure... the tires pressure...
